During Time Machine, students wrestle with a prisoner’s dilemma that the signers of the Declaration faced: if they are unanimous their revolution succeeds, if they are divided their revolution fails. At the end of the unit they take a vote; if they are unanimous, they have succeeded. (The real objective of this lesson is to encourage loyalty to one another, collaboration, trust, and many other characteristics of “the profile of a Heritage graduate.”)
