I'm using a Text widget with a data connection to try and display values from a date field in a hosted feature table. It's a very basic hosted table with one just row and three fields/columns, containing information outputted from an ArcGIS Notebook. Two of those columns are date fields with both date and time.

I can get the date value to show up in the Text widget just fine by creating an expression from the 'Dynamic content' window, however I can't seem to get the time info to show up with it. I've tried connecting directly to the hosted feature table after adding the data to the Experience Builder project on its own, and I've also tried adding the hosted table to a web map first and then using the 'Configure Fields' options there to say that I want the time information to show for that field. However, the time info still won't appear within the Text widget when doing this.

Any ideas? I noticed that the screenshot from a user in this other post seems to be showing the behavior I'm looking for, so perhaps this is something to do with hosted tables specifically? As a workaround in the meantime, I'm using the table widget, but its a bit overkill for this specific case.

@ShengdiZhang I am having trouble with this, but I have "show time" enabled on the fields in the Views in the Map (and the Visualization Tab) in Experience builder (and have confirmed I'm using the correct layers). However, I am creating a view within Experience builder, and even though time is enabled, and shows up in the pop-ups, the Experience builder view is only showing the date and not the time when I add a filter on the view in Experience builder. How do I get it to show time? I have a time filter I set in the view in experience builder because map viewer doesn't let me say "is after today" - ExB view does let me do that. But you can see in the table view on the filter set up, the times do not show. Am I missing something to turn on the time in the Data view in Experience builder?

No matter what I do I cannot get the time to refresh automatically on my iPhone. I constantly have to manually refresh the widget and it is driving me nuts. I have tried editing the widget, deleting and re-installing the app. I have even reset the privacy and network settings on the phone. Both Clear Spaces and iOS are up to date. I loved the original app, but this is making me want to delete it at this point. Anyone now how to fix this?

The growing complexity of this answer over time, and the many hacks required, probably ought to caution you against doing this at all. It's relying on undocumented internal implementation details of the admin, is likely to break again in future versions of Django, and is no easier to implement than just finding another JS calendar widget and using that.

Define your own ModelForm subclass for your model (best to put it in forms.py in your app), and tell it to use the AdminDateWidget / AdminTimeWidget / AdminSplitDateTime (replace 'mydate' etc with the proper field names from your model):

Starting in Django 1.2 RC1, if you're using the Django admin date picker widge trick, the following has to be added to your template, or you'll see the calendar icon url being referenced through "/missing-admin-media-prefix/".

Note: Using admin widgets for date-time fields is not a good idea as admin style-sheets can conflict with your site style-sheets in case you are using bootstrap or any other CSS frameworks. Here's another 2020 solution, inspired by @Sandeep's. Using the MinimalSplitDateTimeMultiWidget found in this gist, in our Form as below, we can use modern browser date and time selectors (via eg 'type': 'date'). We don't need any JS.

There are two widget scripts: A simplified version, t.js, which displays only time, and the main widget script, en.js, which can display time, date, sunrise time, sunset time and day length. The main widget script is available in several languages. For other languages, replace en in the script name with the code for the desired language. (For instance pl.js for Polish, or tr.js for Turkish.)

Just tested this, Date&Time Widget node does expect a flow variable value (type string) that contains date+time+timezone information. Just change the configuration of your create Date&Time Range node to create Date&Time with zone and it should work:

I have a widget in that displays a date/time, that I would like to display in a different format. I know I can use a rule to format the date/time on an update/change event, but is there a way to format the text in the widgets YAML? I have looked through the documentation and found some example of what can be configured using the YAML, but nothing covering dates.

The language and the content that you see on your widgets board is determined by your Windows display language and Country or region settings. To view and change these settings, go to Settings > Time & language > Language & region. Content will appear in your Display Language. If applicable, the widgets and news feed will show content from your Country or region.

Hello, I have a widget showing alerts and alert times with a link to acknowledge. But I cannot get the date format to display in the DDMMYY HH:MM:SS format, it defaults to MMDDYY. My query is below, everywhere else in solarwinds, the date is displayed DDMMYY just how I want it.

I think it depends on Main Poller date/time format in that case. Date/time format looks different for some widgets and features in SolarWinds website and sometimes do not depend on browser or local system settings (however they should). I gave up with it and do not try to fight if no users complaint too much
