Tim Brinkhof is a Dutch journalist based in the US. Raised in Amsterdam, he studied history and comparative literature at New York University. He worked as an editorial assistant for the New York Observer and Film Comment. Previously with the Dutch imprint of Esquire, he now works for Big Think. He has also written for Vulture, Jacobin, New Lines, Vox, MUBI Notebook, Mic, Inverse and Input. For several years, he has been working on a Game of Thrones and War and Peace-inspired fantasy novel called City on the Star.
