Tidefall is a single-player game for Android. This policy explains what the app collects, what it does not, and who else is involved. It is short because the app does very little with data.
Tidefall has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers of its own. Your saved game stays on your device. The only data leaving your phone is what Google collects to show adverts, and in Europe, the UK and Switzerland you are asked before any of that happens.
Your campaign save and a small settings file are written to the app's private storage on your device. They hold your progress and nothing else — no name, no email, no contact details, no location. They are never uploaded anywhere, and uninstalling the app deletes them.
Tidefall shows adverts through Google AdMob. There are two kinds: occasional full-screen adverts between days, and optional adverts you choose to watch in exchange for something in the game. There are no banner adverts and there are no in-app purchases.
To do this, Google may collect and process the following:
Data
Why
Advertising ID (a resettable identifier)
To select adverts, limit how often you see the same one, and measure whether an advert worked
IP address and approximate region
To choose adverts appropriate to your country and to apply the right privacy rules
Device information (model, operating system version, language)
To deliver an advert your device can display
Advert interaction (shown, viewed, tapped)
To measure and to pay the developer
This data is handled by Google, not by us. We never see or receive it, and we cannot identify you from it. Google's own policies govern what happens to it:
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Tidefall asks for your consent before any advertising data is collected, using Google's User Messaging Platform. If you decline, the app still works — you simply see fewer or non-personalised adverts. If applicable law in your region gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the same prompt is how you exercise it.
You can reset or delete your Advertising ID at any time in Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device, and turn on Opt out of Ads Personalisation there.
Tidefall is rated for players aged 13 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Adverts requested by the app are limited to a teen-appropriate content rating.
Tidefall does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, precise location, microphone or camera input. It contains no analytics or crash-reporting service. It requests only two permissions — internet access and network state — both used solely to load adverts.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Removing the app removes your saved game. For advertising data held by Google, use the Google account controls linked above.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated date at the top.
