Tick Tock Talk is a party game for iPhone. This policy explains what the app does and doesn't do with your information. The short version: the app collects no personal data, and nothing leaves your device.
None. Tick Tock Talk does not collect, store or transmit any personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. The app has no server of its own and does not need an internet connection to work.
The app asks for camera access so it can show the game board on your table using augmented reality. The camera image is used only to display that live view on your screen. It is never recorded, saved, analysed for anything other than finding a flat surface, or sent anywhere. You can withdraw camera access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera; the app then offers a flat 2D board instead.
To let you pick up a game where you left off, the app keeps a small amount of data in its own private storage on your iPhone: team and player names you type in, piece colours, positions on the board, which cards have been played, the round length you chose, any cards you write yourself, and a few preferences (such as whether to show the tips screen). This information stays on the device, is not shared with us or anyone else, and is removed when you delete the app. It is included in your normal iPhone backup if you have backups switched on, under Apple's own privacy terms.
Spoken announcements in the game are generated on the device by Apple's built-in text-to-speech. The app does not use the microphone and does not listen to anything.
The app is suitable for all ages and, because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children.
The app contains no third-party software development kits, advertising networks or analytics services. The only third-party component is the ADLaM Display typeface, an open-licensed font used for display text; it is bundled with the app and involves no data transfer.
If a future version of the app ever changes what it does with your information — for example by adding an online feature — this policy will be updated first and the change will be described in the app's release notes.
