TickNote stores user-entered note data in chrome.storage.local on the user’s device:
- ticker (for example, NVDA)
- note text
- updatedAt timestamp
- sourceUrl (the page URL where the note was saved)
TickNote may read the active tab URL to detect ticker symbols and attach sourceUrl metadata when saving notes.

- show and edit notes for the current ticker
- save and load notes across browser sessions

- We do not transfer user data to third parties except where required by law.
- We do not use data for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, or lending decisions.
4) Remote code and external services
- TickNote does not use remote code.
- TickNote does not send note data to external servers.
- TickNote does not require user accounts, authentication, or cloud sync.
5) Permissions used

Data remains in browser local storage until changed or deleted by the user.
