And we all enjoyed that sweet Espresso, thanks to Sabrina Carpenter, who accomplished a historic feat for the contest.
It is the first time that Toronto has hosted the contest, and it is the first time since the 9th edition to not have visited a capital city.
We Are One
Following its hugely successful use by NBC in the ninth edition, it was agreed by CBC and the TBU Reference Group (the Contest governing board), to use We Are One as a sub-slogan for the TiBB Music Festival in Toronto, Ontario, as well.
Furthermore, it was decided to keep the slogan for all successive contests from the fourteenth edition onwards.
Alexis Enero's Triumphant Return
The 13th TiBB Music Festival was hosted by a returning contest legend; Alexis Enero led the festivities, live from Scotiabank Arena. Alexis returned to host the contest, after last hosting the first two editions of the contest in August and October of 2019 respectively.
A Repeat Win
By the end of the week, it was announced that the United States won the contest. The US would gain a second win, as well as Sabrina Carpenter becoming the first person to win the contest twice.
