Digital Access is the first element of Digital Citizenship. Digital access describes the equitable distribution of technology and online resources. It is the ability to fully participate in a digital society. This includes access to tools and technologies, such as the internet and computers, that allow for full participation.
Teachers should take in account their community and who may or may not have access. It is important for students to not only have access at school, but at home as well. Educators need to provide options for lesson and data collection such as free access in the community or provide resources for the home.
