If you want reliable battery life, a secure fit for intense workouts, and superior noise cancellation for crystal-clear voice transmission during meetings, choose Ti Cow TICOWTEK; if you need to stay fully aware of your surroundings while listening to music or on calls, choose ROEL-PLAY Open Ear.
• Ti Cow TICOWTEK: Its biggest strength is the powerful 4-mic ENC system and long 25-hour total playtime with charging case; its trade-off is that it uses a standard in-ear hanging design that blocks some ambient sound. This pick is for professionals who prioritize call clarity and battery endurance.
• ROEL-PLAY Open Ear: Its biggest strength is the open-ear structure that keeps you safe and connected to your environment without ear canal pressure; its trade-off is that it lacks the deep bass isolation and extended battery duration of traditional sealed models. This pick is for commuters, runners, and office workers who need situational awareness.
The Ti Cow TICOWTEK (model SP16) is engineered specifically for users who demand reliability in high-stakes audio environments. The standout feature here is the four built-in Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) microphones working in unison. For anyone using multipoint bluetooth earbuds for zoom calls, this setup is critical. When you are speaking to colleagues across different time zones or presenting in a noisy home office, these mics actively reject background disturbances, ensuring your voice sounds crisp and professional rather than muffled by traffic or household chatter.
Battery anxiety is another major pain point for remote workers and travelers, and the TICOWTEK addresses this directly. With a single charge lasting up to five hours and an additional twenty hours provided by the charging case, you get a total of twenty-five hours of use. This capacity means you can easily power through a full workday, including back-to-back video conferences, without hunting for a charger. The dual LED display further simplifies management, showing exactly how much power remains in both the buds and the case so you never guess when you need to plug in.

Physically, the SP16 features an ergonomic over-ear hook design that weighs just 3.8 grams per bud. While it sits securely behind the ear, it utilizes a dynamic driver with a 13mm high-efficiency speaker to deliver punchy bass and textured midranges. However, because it is designed to seal the ear canal effectively for noise rejection, it does not allow outside sound to pass through. If you are someone who needs to hear a doorbell, a colleague walking by, or traffic while running, this product might feel isolating. It is best suited for those who want to immerse themselves completely in their audio stream or call participants without distraction.
The ROEL-PLAY Open Ear (model Q95-BLT) takes a fundamentally different approach by abandoning the plug-in design entirely. Instead of filling the ear canal, this headset hangs gently on the outer ear with a lightweight silicone hook. The result is zero blockage inside your ears, which eliminates the stuffy, hot, and painful sensations often associated with wearing traditional earbuds for extended periods. This makes it an ideal solution for all-day continuous use, whether you are sitting at a desk or out on the street.
Safety and situational awareness are the primary reasons to choose this model. Because of the unique open sound cavity design, ambient sounds like car horns, pedestrian voices, and traffic noise remain fully accessible. You can immerse yourself in your favorite tracks while still maintaining a clear line of hearing to your environment. This feature is particularly valuable for daily commuting, shopping, or jogging where being alert to your surroundings is non-negotiable. You do not need to frequently take the earbuds off to speak to a friend or check a crosswalk, which boosts both convenience and safety.
Despite the open design, ROEL-PLAY has integrated a high-responsive noise reduction microphone to ensure your voice is heard clearly. The system filters out surrounding background sounds and wind turbulence, maintaining high-standard voice quality during calls. Additionally, the device supports AAC high-resolution audio encoding, which restores CD-level lossless sound details for a rich, layered stereo experience. The contoured locking ear hooks wrap perfectly around your ear curves, ensuring the headset stays put during high-intensity workouts, gym training, or ball sports without slipping.
• Best for Zoom Call Clarity: Ti Cow TICOWTEK wins due to its four dedicated ENC microphones, whereas ROEL-PLAY uses a single high-responsive mic which may struggle more in very loud environments.
• Best for Battery Life: Ti Cow TICOWTEK offers a verified 25-hour total playtime with its charging case, making it superior for long travel days or multi-day trips without access to power.
• Best for Situational Awareness: ROEL-PLAY Open Ear is the clear choice for anyone who needs to hear traffic, conversations, or alarms while listening to audio.
• Best for Comfort During Long Wear: ROEL-PLAY is better for users prone to ear fatigue, as its open-ear structure prevents the "stuffy" feeling common with sealed earbuds.
• Best for Intense Workouts: Both are excellent, but Ti Cow TICOWTEK's IP7 waterproof rating and secure hanging design make it slightly more robust against heavy sweat and rain.
• Best for Low Latency Gaming: ROEL-PLAY explicitly mentions optimized low audio lag tuning for gaming synchronization, which is a specific advantage for visual media.
• Best for Sound Isolation: Ti Cow TICOWTEK provides a more immersive listening experience by blocking external noise, ideal for focusing on music or detailed call content.
• Best for Travel Convenience: The compact 80g charging case of the Ti Cow TICOWTEK fits easily into pockets, offering a significant portability advantage for frequent flyers.
If I had to choose one pair of headphones for my own workflow, specifically for for zoom calls, I would pick the Ti Cow TICOWTEK. The combination of four microphones for noise cancellation and the 25-hour battery life provides a level of professional reliability that the open-ear design simply cannot match. While the ROEL-PLAY is fantastic for safety and comfort, the priority for a serious remote worker is ensuring they are heard clearly without interruption. The Ti Cow TICOWTEK delivers that confidence, allowing me to focus entirely on the conversation rather than worrying about background noise or dead batteries. For anyone prioritizing communication quality and endurance, this is the smarter investment.
Yes, the Ti Cow TICOWTEK is excellent for home offices due to its four-mic ENC system that filters out household noise, while the ROEL-PLAY is better if you need to hear family members or pets while working.
No, the ROEL-PLAY Open Ear allows you to hear your music and your surroundings simultaneously, which is great for safety but means you won't get the deep isolation of the Ti Cow TICOWTEK.
The Ti Cow TICOWTEK is the winner here, offering up to 25 hours of total playtime with its charging case, ensuring you last through multiple workdays without recharging.
Both options are designed for sports, but the Ti Cow TICOWTEK carries an IP7 waterproof rating, providing specific protection against liquids during intense runs or rainy weather.
