Thy ("we," "our," or "the app") is a thyroid wellness companion designed to help individuals with hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's, Graves' disease, or post-thyroidectomy manage their symptoms and support their thyroid health through personalized coaching, symptom tracking, and education.
Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. This is used to identify your account and enable you to access your data across devices.
Onboarding Information: During setup, you may provide your year of birth, thyroid diagnosis, medication type and timing, symptoms, health goals, energy baseline, sleep quality, wake and bed times, weight, and height. This information is used solely to personalize your coaching experience within the app.
Daily Check-In Data: You may log energy levels, symptoms, sleep quality, medication adherence, stress levels, food intake (including photos), movement, menstrual cycle information, and personal notes. This data is stored to provide personalized coaching, track your progress, detect patterns, and generate reports.
Food Photos: If you choose to upload meal photos, the images are analyzed to identify foods, estimate nutritional content, and detect potential thyroid-related dietary triggers. Photos are processed and the analysis is stored. Photos themselves are not shared with third parties.
Subscription Information: If you subscribe to Thy Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card number, bank account, or payment details. We only receive confirmation of your subscription status from these platforms.
2. How We Use Your Information
All health and personal data you provide is used exclusively to personalize your daily coaching plan, track your symptoms and progress, detect patterns in your data, generate doctor-ready reports, power the Talk to Thy AI feature, and send relevant notifications.
We do not use your health data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share your personal health information with anyone.
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on encrypted servers. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your personal and health information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
4. AI and Data Processing
The Talk to Thy AI feature uses artificial intelligence to answer your questions about thyroid health. When you use this feature, your logged data may be included to provide personalized responses. AI conversations are not used to train AI models.
Food photo analysis uses AI to identify foods and estimate nutritional content. Images are not shared with third parties.
5. Third-Party Services
Apple App Store / Google Play Store: For payment processing of subscriptions.
RevenueCat: For subscription management. RevenueCat receives your anonymous subscriber status but not your health data.
We do not integrate with advertising networks or data brokers.
6. Your Rights
Access: You can view all your data within the app at any time.
Export: You can export all your data as a formatted PDF from the app.
Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. All data will be permanently removed within 30 days.
Correction: You can update your personal information at any time within the app.
7. Children's Privacy
Thy is not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all data is permanently removed within 30 days.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
