Q: Where are the pool rules located?
A: So glad you asked! You can view all the pool rules here!
Q: Do I need a pool pass?
A: Yes! Every homeowner has to do so here.
Residents must be in good standing on their Tanglewood Homeowners Recreational Association (THRA) monthly dues, currently $47/month. Unsure? Contact Vanguard Management.
No need to show the lifeguards a paid receipt. They do not know if your account is in good standing or not. If the system rejects you, guess who you need to contact.
Q: I am renting, how do I get a pool pass?
A: The homeowner must complete the registration process, and authorize your use of the pool.
Q: Am I allowed to bring guests?
A: Yes! Ensure your THRA association dues are up-to-date, and see guest rules here.
Q: Can I have a pool party?
A: Yes! Contact the THRA Board for reservation.
Q: Are my child's arm floaties permitted?
A: No. Inflatable's and flotation devices are not permitted at the pool. Only US Coast Guard approved life vests are.

Here's a mom's blog on personal flotation devices (PFD) for infants.
Puddle Jumpers by Sterns are US Coast Guard approved, however it is Type III (Flotation Aid). It is currently not allowed at the pool.
Life vests keep the neck above water without struggle. Floaties keeps the arms up, and maybe the chest; thus they are not permitted. This is for the safety of the child, parent, and for the lifeguards.
Q: Can I have food at the pool?
A: Keep them to the tables and the deck. Please cleanup after yourself.

Foul language
Rough play
Drugs

Inflatables

Q: I don't like the pool rules.
A: That's not a question, but here's an answer anyway.
Not all the rules are convenient, agreed. But they're all for safety. The safety for yourself, neighbors, friends, and the lifeguards.
Contact the THRA board, tell them why. They are your neighbors.
Come to a board meeting, and present your reasoning to the board. The board members are residents too, so input is always needed!
Consider the effects of the rule change to you, another resident, and the lifeguards. They're humans too; some are your neighbors! They can only look out so much and the THRA Board wants everyone to be safe and have fun!
Q: Can I join the swim team?
A: Yes! A few simple requirements:
Live in the Tanglewood community.
The homeowner must be in good standing with THRA dues.
Your child needs to be between the ages of 4-18.
Visit the Tanglewood Tigers Swim Team page for more information.
Q: Who pays what dues in the neighborhood?
A: This is honestly a bit confusing. If you live in the townhouses or condos, you have 2 monthly dues to pay.
THRA - is an umbrella association. $47/month applies to all dwellings in Tanglewood: single family homes, townhouses, and condos.
THRA must be paid in order for access to the pool.
If you live in a single family home, this is the only monthly dues for the community.
