Materials Needed:
Popsicle sticks, random name generator, or a way to pull random students’ names
Post it note/pencil for every student or a way to keep track of individual points
Directions:
Display the first question from the PowerPoint.Give students a moment to think about their choice, then instruct them to move to the side of the room that represents their answer. Call on a few volunteers from the chosen student's side to share their answers and the reasons behind their choices. Encourage them to be respectful and listen to each other’s responses. Once all students have made their choice, pull a random name from the popsicle stick container or use the random name generator. Announce the selected student and tell everyone who is on that student's side (the same choice) to add a point to their post it note. Everyone on that side earns a point for that round! Continue the game with additional slides, repeating the steps above for each question. Students keep track of their points for each round throughout the game, and at the end, you can tally up the points to see which side won!
FAQs and Tips:
Remind students to be considerate of each other’s choices, as everyone may have different preferences.
Ensure there is enough space for students to move safely without bumping into one another.
