Table Basketball set one per group (Amazon link)
Notes/Worksheet one per student
Directions:
The class should be divided into groups or tables. Each group will need their own table basketball board. There are multiple ways to play the game as outlined below.
Lesson Version:
Throughout the lesson, the teacher calls on students to answer questions/participate/share/etc. If the student participated (or is correct, up to you), they get to take one shot with the table basketball. Each basket is worth 2 points. Each table keeps track of their score throughout the lesson. The table with the most points at the end of the lesson wins.
Assignment Version:
Each student works on their own assignment and checks off every problem with the teacher. Each correct problem is worth one shot on the game. If they make a basket they earn 2 points for their table. If they miss, nothing happens. This continues with teams answering questions and shooting. The team with the most points wins.
