Materials Needed:
Worksheets one per student
One pencil per group
2 dice per group
Directions:
Divide class into groups of 3-4 students. Each person starts with a worksheet in front of them and one pencil in the center of their group. The pencil should be equal distance from everyone in the group. Each group should be given 2 dice. Players take a turn rolling both dice. If they roll doubles, they grab the pencil and start on their worksheet. The rest of the group continues rolling, skipping the person working, and trying to roll doubles. As soon as someone new rolls doubles they quickly take the pencil from the person working and start on their assignment. The rest of the table keeps rolling.
The game continues with students stealing the pencil from one another to work on their assignment. When one person in the group thinks they have finished their entire worksheet they raise their hand. The teacher checks it off, if they are correct then they are considered the winner. The rest of the group must finish their assignment and check it with the winner to be done. If they are wrong, the game keeps going and they have to spend time fixing their mistakes.
