Materials Needed:
Set of questions with similar answers on PowerPoint or paper to be read
Set of 10-15 answer cards per person
Directions:
All students partner up and sit across from their partner. Each student needs a stack of answer cards. (They should all have the same stack just mixed up.) The teacher will read or project a question on the board. Give students enough time to determine the answer then say go. The students will take turns flipping over one of their cards and creating a stack of cards between them. They keep alternating turns until one of them flips over the right answer. The first of the pair to slap the correct answer gets a point.
Once they have slapped the right answer, they quickly divide the cards back up between them and get ready for the next question. Whoever has the most points out of each pair wins.
FAQs and Tips:
You will save time if you print them on different colored papers. Example: Half the class gets a blue stack of cards and the other half gets a red set. Then red and blue will play against each other so they can quickly sort the cards between questions.
