Materials Needed:
Worksheet one per student
Bowl
1 Sheet per student of lottery tickets. It needs to have the corresponding numbers to how many questions are on their assignment.
Directions:
Students work as hard as they can to complete as many problems from their assignment as possible in a given time slot. Once the time is up, the students record their answers to the problems on their lottery tickets along with their initials or name. They quickly cut out their tickets and place them in the bowl. The teacher then draws tickets at random from the bowl. If the answer recorded is correct, then that person wins a prize.
FAQs and Tips:
You can also have them fill out their lottery tickets along the way if you want to make it quicker at the end.
We recommend rewarding one in every 6 students. Meaning, if you have 36 students you should pick about 6 winners.
