Easter Egg Game
Materials Needed:
Lots of Rewards
Whiteboards or scratch paper
Directions:
Before playing you need to open the PowerPoint template and embed the questions you want and the rewards you are offering. Divide the class into teams, we play as teams of 2-3. Each team will work together to answer questions. They must write down their answers so they don’t cheat and listen to other teams.
The game begins with a question. Each team will work quickly to determine the answer to the question. When time is up the teacher checks each group and changes to the next slide on the powerpoint. Then in a RANDOM order call on the groups that got it correct. They will each pick one egg. If they click on the egg and nothing is underneath they get no reward for that round. If they click on an egg and a reward underneath they each come and immediately get their reward.
The teacher goes to the next slide with a new question and the process repeats itself.
FAQs and Tips:
You want to call groups in a random order. Don’t always go in the same order because it is a disadvantage to pick an egg very first or very last.
There are instructions on the Powerpoint template on how to change the rewards to whatever you choose. Examples are: 1 extra credit point, 1 piece of candy, 1 bathroom pass, etc.
REMINDERS: TO EDIT ANY OF THE TEMPALTES YOU WILL FIRST NEED TO DOWNLOAD THEM TO YOUR COMPUTER. NOBODY IS ABLE TO ALTER THE ORIGINALS AS THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE USE THEM. ALL POWERPOINTS ARE MEANT TO BE USED IN POWERPOINT AND NOT GOOGLE SLIDES.
