Iman R. Kivi has published a new paper on embedding digital rock models into multiphysics computational simulations in Geological Acta. This paper entitled “A MATLAB approach for developing digital rock models of heterogeneous limestones for reactive transport modeling” explains development of an open-source code in Matlab for mapping porosity distribution in heterogeneous rock samples from micro CT X-Ray images as input to reactive transport models. The proposed workflow significantly conserves the required memory to manipulate large image datasets.
