Participation in the GEoREST workshop

Iman R. Kivi served as a member of the organizing committee of GEoREST workshop on induced seismicity on 11-13 March 2024 in Palma, Spain. He also gave a lecture on “A multi-physics database of injection-induced seismicity in geo-energy projects”. He led the development of this physics-based database of induced seismicity, published in Earth System Science Data. Besides, he chaired a session on “Forecasting induced seismicity”. 

This conference was held by the GEoREST team. This project funded by the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant from 2019 to 2024 has aimed at developing a novel methodology to predict and mitigate induced seismicity. Iman R. Kivi was a postdoc in this project from February 2020 to December 2021. Several world-leading researchers in the field of induced seismicity participated in this workshop.
