Did you try the above mentioned solution? I was able to play downloaded HVEC videos on my machine before installing the Microsoft codec but received that error message in my web browser. After installing the codec, it immediately worked in the browser.

Today I just got feed up with having to download videos because of the "This video is not able to play in your browser. Please download to view. " error message. A little searching in the forum and I found this thread. Followed the instructions and hey, no more error messages and the 4k videos play.

@BlackDot Thanks for the fix.

This Video Is Not Able To Play In Your Browser. Please Download To View

Lost my desktop where I was able to watch my 4k videos via Chrome on Windows 10. Now trying to watch on my laptop (Windows 10) with no luck. Error: "This video is not able to play in your browser. Please Download to view". Updated to current version of Chrome (Version 114.0.5735.134 (Official Build) (64-bit)) and same issue. Able to watch video from Arlo original camera, but no go with Ultra (4k) and Pro 3 (2k).

I am getting the same error messages. I am using Microsoft Edge and Windows 11. I was able to view a few videos but then suddenly they all say this. This happened within the same browser session. I am able to use the browser application using Chrome.

Has there been a resolution or a fix for the error message "This video is not able to play in this browser, please download to view" issue? I don't feel like reading through a zillion posts to see.

I am getting the same error message, but ONLY when trying to access my ARLO PRO 3 video (which is 2K) on my chrome browser. I have another camera, an Arlo Ultra (which is 4K) that is able to view with no problems. I can get LIVE video from the PRO 3, but cannot view any of the recorded videos in my browser. Both are new and installed this week. So, my browser allows for 4K playback but not 2K? My app on my iPhone allows me to watch both, but the screen is so small it's not worth it and I'd prefer to review it in my web browser. Please help....

This problem only appeared recently on my computer. Used to be able to play until about a month ago. Tried deleting ad re-installing. Looked at a few fixes on this thread, but nothing seems to fix this. Whether I download the playlist to the computer or not, can't play anything. Internet connection is fast, so I should be able to play direct on line, but keep getting the same warning. Very frustrating

I was in the same situation. I was able to play local files from my computer to my phone until it stopped recently. It will say "Can't play this right now, the song isn't available on your device." I tried all the solutions above and it didn't work. I fixed the issue by uninstalling Spotify and installing the Spotify app straight from my Microsoft Store app in Windows. That resolved it.

Some randon songs won't start and instead ""Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it" is shown. It does not help to click another song, and then the problematic song in the hopes it will then work. It will not. Other songs (that are just as new as the problem song) will work and start to play immediately). Even when I go to the album of the problem song, the problem song will not play, but all the others in that album will play. THIS PROVES IT IS NOT A BANDWIDTH OR HIGH QUALITY ISSUE.

I am having this issue. I have restarted the computer that didn't work. I uninstalled Spotify which was downloaded from the website and it still does not play the songs. I have updated my drivers and that has not sorted the issue out.. I still can not play any songs on my PC Windows 10 Pro system. They will play fine on my Tablet and my phone.
