eTwinning action was created to allow schools to create a virtual twinning , working remotely thanks to the use of new technologies.

 The general objectives are: 

• integrating ICT into teaching;

• becoming aware of different cultures;

• motivating students;

• increasing interest for the European civilization;

• using ICT to shorten distences;

• to deepen the knowledge of different European school systems;

• meeting new European colleagues to share pedagogical ideas with them;

• improving the knowledge of European languages.

eTwinning offers a platform for  staff (teachers, head teachers, librarians, etc...), working in a school of the involved countries to  communicate, collaborate, develop projects and share  ideas.
