The conversation with the pair last night has revealed the answer to some question I had in mind, but it also opened a lot more
First off, I now know that there exists a power system in the Grimm world. A system, in which Alistair and Murdoch seems to be of the higher-tier judging from their position (Princess, prince)
Second, these high-tier Grimm possesses the human's equivalent of a Semblance, an individual's trademark ability. Unlike human, however, these Semblance of Grimm doesn't need to be powered by their Aura. I was quite surprised by this information
That means there is another source of energy inside the Grimm, one that I have not yet know of. If I can really harvest this power, maybe my ability would increase tremendously, or at least I would have a spare supply of stamina
It's only a possibility, though. So I can't place too much hope on it. I don't even know if I'm special like them
Speaking of special. This doesn't look like your typical RWBY world. There's this Grimm Underworld, which I'm going to presume as where most Grimm live. There's also this Seven Deadly Sins group, which, to be honest, I have completely no idea who they are. It's....
It's like I've been reincarnated into an Alternate Universe of RWBY
Now that's a terrifying thought. Just imagine what you thought you know about this world turns out to be only mere fiction. That the power over the main plot you possess had been drastically changed, violently torn away from your grasp.
For all I know, Summer could still be alive, Salem could be my mother, Yang could actually make good puns, and Ruby could be a world-famous pornstar. The possibilities are endless!
Okay, calm down
I don't know if that is the case or not, since these facts could simply be hidden away in the show. What I must do now is go with my instinct and try to survive to the best of my abilities
"Now now, don't be scared. Just give us all of your belongings and we might spare you. Might"
That annoyingly disgusting voice, courtesy of a bandit pulled me out of my thoughts. I looked around us
Surrounding us were about 30 men or so. Some have their blades drawn, while the others were pointing their guns at us. The one who just spoke looked at me with a sinister smile on his face
Uwahhh.... so scary!
Alistair and Murdoch stood on either side of me, their faces appeared to be bored. We are being robbed by bandits, guys, at least show them some appreciation and try to look frightened!
We were currently under Alistair's illusion, so it made us seems like humans. Maybe because they saw no weapon on us, so the bandits must have thought we were easy prey
Things were bad, for them that is
"Hmph..." Alistair looked at them with cold contempt "These lower lifeforms dare to interrupt our journey? I don't know if they're courting death or just being plain retarded. it doesn't matter either way, you all are going to die like the insects you are”
(These are just reference images, you can imagine them however you want ;))
It seems she has a superiority complex when it comes to human. Mental note: Never let Alistair speak to a human, lest we are found out
"Let's slaughter them!" Murdoch cheered
Where the hell is your shirt. And why do you look so lean? I thought you were supposed to be a giant or something!
We were in freaking Atlas! Where the temperature is so cold that even people's personalities were affected by it! (*cough*Winter *cough cough* Ironwood *Cough cough cough cough* basically everyone there except for Flint and that one faunus chick). Can't you choose a more suitable attire than a kimono and staying shirtless?
As for me, I am "wearing" a red shirt with a black coat and a red scarf hanging loosely on my neck. The word "wearing" is put on quote mark because I'm not actually wearing anything, it's just an illusion
I sighed. Since there's no reflective surface nearby I can't really know how I look, but I'm probably some skinny ass teen in my imagination
Anyway, I will talk about that with them later. Let's just solve the problem here first
I walked to a nearby rock and plopped on it, hands resting on my chins. The bandits looked at me in surprise
"Alistair, Murdoch" Both of them tensed up, waiting for my command "Waste as little time as possible"
"As you wish / Of course" came the reply
And they disappeared
No, it's more like they moves at a speed that is untraceable to the untrained eye. Even I can only make out their faint outline as they dashed to two separate direction, their claws flashing in the early sunlight
I had left the fighting for them mainly because I want to gauge their true strength, and oh boy did they surprised me. You guys had been holding back against me all this time, huh?
I made a mental note to go all out on them on their next training session. Mercy is worthless if all it did was weaken you
As I was having these thoughts, my eyes noticed the two of them had stopped moving
Huh, it seems they've finally finished
The pair had reappeared at their previous position, as if nothing had happened. Murdoch is whistling with his hands in his pocket, while Alistair is checking her nails nonchalantly
And then chaos ensued
The frozen bandit's face started to morph in horror, before they let out screams of pain. Bloods spurts out from their newly opened wounds, some dropped to the snow, while others were spattered on nearby objects. They fell, one by one, like puppets whose strings had been cut
In less than 3 seconds, the snow was stained with the beautiful red color of blood. I would have made a Snow White reference here, but these two probably wouldn't get it
Oh well, let's just settle with the classic 'Omae Wa Mou Shinderu', shall we?
"N-NANI!!???" The leader yelled out as his head slid off from his neck and landed on the ground, his face is frozen up in a mixture of pain and astonishment
This gentlemen here gets it, what a man of culture he is. Too bad he have to die, or I have a feeling we could have been friends with each other
Sighing, I called them over
"Good job. I'd never expect you two to be this fast. It seems I've truly underestimated your potential"
"Nah boss, it was because of your training everyday that we can become this strong" Murdoch said as he bowed to me, a gesture that made me blinked in surprise
'Really? I thought it wasn't very effective' I just pulled the exercise out of some random anime I've watched and gave it to them
"I have to agree. 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats and running 10 km every single days turned out to be a really effective exercise" Alistair said smiling "Now we can hopefully fight on par with you, in terms of physical abilities that is"
Oh, I know what you guys are doing here
You're putting it on my training as an excuse for your sudden spike in power. Even if I don't believe you, it would just be rude if I deny the fruits of my own labor. How clever of you, tricking your sensei like that
Now I'll just have more of an excuse to beat the shit out of them tomorrow
I got up from my seats "That's good then. Tell me, are you two hungry?"
They both nodded
"Well, breakfast is here. First come, first serve" I gestured to the pile of bandit corpses
A look of hesitation appeared in their eyes
I laughed, seeing their reaction "Don't worry, it's just human meat. They may be less nutritious, but there are a lot if them for you to fill your stomach. Just try it, they only taste like chicken after all"
Or so that's what I heard other cannibals said. I was going to hunt for some rabbits and possibly deers, but I didn't expect food to present themselves to us. Better not complain about that, you are what you eat after all
Murdoch walked over and picked up a severed arm. After several seconds of looking at it, he finally took a bite
[Murdoch] had leveled up!
[Murdoch] had unlocked [Job Class: Fighter]
[Murdoch] had unlocked [Faster Regeneration]
[Murdoch] had unlocked [Greater Strength]
My eyes widen in shock. I looked over to Alistair to also see her taking a bite
[Alistair] had leveled up!
[Alistair] had unlocked [Job Class: Illusionist]
[Alistair] had unlocked skill [Hallucinate]
[Alistair] had unlocked skill [Mirror Image]
So, either eating human meat enabled them to gain EXP faster, or it really is just a coincidence
I picked up the head of the fallen bandit's leader. His white eyes stared back at me with that same terrified expression
I smiled, before splitting his skull in half and took his brain out. I've learned over time that eating certain parts of my prey, such as the heart of the brain, will enable me to gain more abilities than eating others
Is this the right thing to do?
A voice inside my head whispered as I brought it to my mouth
He's human, just like you once was. Shouldn't it be a sin to eat one of your own kind?
'Well there are several animals who does that, so..."
I may have hesitated, I may haven't. All I know is that the brain tastes like a mixture of pork and salmon as I chewed on it, quietly comparing this to the other food I've eaten
It's not as delicious as I'd imagined, but let's see what I gained from this
You have leveled up!
You have learned [Job Class: Rogue]: Allows you to use Rogue's skills
You have learned skill [Ambush]: Attacking enemy from your hiding place deal increased damage
You have learned skill [Sneak Attack]: Attacking enemies from behind will deal increased damage
You have learned skill [Camouflage]: Allow you to blend in with your surrounding, may be use for [Ambush]
You have learned [Silent Assassination]: Killing an enemy without making a sound. Only apply to the first hitYep, this is not a coincidence
Looks like human meat has become my favorite food now
"Let's keep going, guys. We're almost at the village!"

'Even though I am immune to the cold, Atlas's weather sure is troublesome'
Snow had piled up on her outfit again, for the fifth time today. Considering the fact that it's not even 1 hour since she'd gone out, Salem is justifiably annoyed
Sighing, she flipped her hood up, making the snow fell to the ground. Her face were now revealed, but there's no one near this spot to notice her. Not that they would see her and return alive either
Among the seven of them, Salem considered herself to be the most versatile one, with the ability to manipulate Aura to take any shape or form she desired.
If she were to get in a fight with someone, even in her current weakened state, Salem could take on virtually anybody as long as they have Aura.
Well, most of them that is
Her thoughts turned back to the woman she'd met on board. Ozpin's strongest pawn, and the last of the silver-eyed warrior bloodline. Her name is Summer Rose, and apparently she is the one who poses the largest threat to the Grimm
At the sight of the woman, Salem'd considered killing her then and there just for convenience's sake. But she remembered that she has to find her son, a task which will be infinitely harder if she were to alarmed Ozpin of her location.
The old wizard will no doubt flood the entire Kingdom and nearby villages with Huntsman and soldiers alike. If her son happened to get killed by them, she wouldn't be able to stand the guilt
If that were to happen, she will personally make them suffer
"Just stay strong, my son" She pulled her hood up, having taken her rest "Wherever you are right now, just know that Mommy will find you"

Author's Note: So... apparently I have been tagged by someone. I'd never imagined that would happen to be honest
Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter I've wrote with my left pinky finger (as per my friend's challenge)
