The clanking of metal echoed against inside the large space surrounding her. Two falchions in her hand, imbued with Magecraft enchantment made to further enhance the quality of her weapon as she brought them down with inhumane speed
Killing intent flooded her body. With but a swing, a man's head fell off his shoulder, then the next were taken down like nothing more than cattle
The desert wind howled, violently lashing against her tanned skin. Amidst this storm of blades and death, one woman stood against a hundred
Her crimson hood fell back, revealing a face of maturity. Sharp, smooth features on a cold exterior. A beautiful woman in her twenties, with eyes that has seen enough war and bloodshed for a lifetime
Around her were countless blades stabbed into the ground. One look would be enough to reveal the sheer power each of them contained. Holy and Demonic in nature, yet she wields them with the same deadly efficiency of an assassin
The woman's red coat billowed in the wind, white hair fluttering from side to side as the gale created from each strike of the blade pushed them away. Her gaze firmly set on the enemy
Perhaps in another timeline she would be known as a girl who wants to be an Ally of Justice. A hero who saves everybody from evil. The shield that protects the innocent
But one single change can have dire consequence to a person's destiny. What if it was not the Magus Killer who rescues her that day, but another individual?
What if the scabbard was replaced by the sword?
With a swift movement, she sidestepped under their attacks and threw her falchions at them. They dodged with ease
"Spirit and Technique" Her eyes shone "Flawless and Firm"
Another pair of Kanshou and Bakuya soared through the air. Once again, they are deflected to the side. Sparks flew, the air rippled as they struggled against the force of the twin blades
"Our strength rips the mountain" Yet she never wavered, a new pair materializing in her hands "Our sword splits the water"
One step. Two steps. Reinforcing the blades in her hand and blocking one of their strikes, she stumbled back as her guard broke
"Our names reaching the imperial villa" They descended down on her with their swords drawn, ready for the kill
Three steps
"The two of us cannot reach the heavens together"
She moved, her blade flashing is the only warning they received
The first one easily went down with a quick slash, as is the second and third one who followed. Before the others can process what just happened, the previously thrown pair of swords twisted in their trajectory and sliced through the crowd, drawing arcs of blood and agonized screams to fill the air
Immediately, she lunged forward into a feral assault. Hacking and slashing, the woman's crimson coat looks a shade redder under the blood that rained on her. A demon in human form
"N-no, please have merc-!"
She reached out her hand, catching the airborne blade mid-trajectory and spun on her feet, easily decapitating the last one with a downward slash
Frames weary, the woman stood there in silence. Not to pay respect to the dead, but to check the surrounding for more of them. Her hawk-like eyes swept across the barren land, scanning for any signs of life that need termination
The wind roared once more, as she realized no one was left. Bodies littered the battlefield. What once was a city was now reduced to a pile of rubble. A sense of resignation rose inside her
That's it. She'd killed them, and in the process end up saving a lot more. Yet why is it that she felt no joy?
Sighing tiredly, The Iron Wrought Hero made her way to a large boulder and sat on top of it, silently waiting for Alaya to pick her up just like it always has
Her title...
Nameless
Let's call her that. She is a nobody. A phantom spirit who made a contract with the Will of Humanity in exchange for fulfilling her selfish desire
A name among the Counter Guardians. Weapons made to subdue and eliminate threats to the continued existence of humanity. She is known as one of their strongest
Bathing in blood of men and steel of swords. Not known to Death, nor known to Life
Hands that will never hold anything
Grey eyes closed in contemplation
What would he think if he saw her now?
The woman sighed once again. But she quickly glanced back as the space before her distorted, revealing a black hole in the middle. She reached through it and was greeted with the familiar void that is her resting place
Within moments however, the Counter Guardian blinked as Humanity's Will manifested in front of her. Alaya somehow looks worn out these past few days
Oh, wait. She's downright pissed
"Well well little miss, what is it you need of me this time?"
A condescending smirked made it's way across her face. If something or someone managed to aggravate the thing to the point of her losing her patience, they deserve a great amount of praise
"Wrought Iron Hero. You have a new mission"
"So soon?"
The smirk was turned upside down in an instant. Do not misunderstand, her nature as a Spirit render it impossible for her to get tired as long as she have sufficient mana, but there's only so much before someone gets mentally taxed doing the same thing over and over again
"I've already stopped 3 world wars, fought more than a dozen Grail Wars on my own, and killed thousands of people across different realities for the past week. Can I even have a break?"
"Denied"
Damn it, this is employee abuse
Then again she should have read over the terms and policies before accepting the contract. So in a sense, it's also her fault
"Would it help if this mission takes place in 1994's Fuyuki Holy Grail War?"
The Counter Guardian's breath hitched in her throat. A foreboding sense of anticipation and dread rose up inside her. Eyes narrowed, she glared at Alaya
"The man who raised you. You'll get a chance to meet him again"
In life she had been called many things. The second coming of the Magus Killer. The Twelfth Ancestor. Monster. Mongrel. Master
But the only one who would ever treat a blade like her as a normal human is him. It was him who who saved her that day. He is and will be the only one who she held in high respect
She know this is just a ploy to get her to accept. She know this is Hell she's walking into
But when presented with the chance to see his face again, how could she just ignore it?
"How long?"
"3 years from now. I suggest using that time to polish your skills" Alaya slowly faded away "Unlike alternate timelines, this one will be more chaotic than you can ever imagine, servant Archer"

Fwoosh
The magic arrow ripped through the air and embedded itself into the Dead Apostle's skull, carrying it along with the momentum and ended up pinning the thing to a nearby wall
It's been a week since I've officially become a member of the Burial Agency
The first few days got me running around the town and killing off any Dead we meet. There's numerous of them after the incident caused by Chaos at the hotel, resulting in them laying dormant in the day and prowling in the night, posing a threat to any non-magic civilian working in late hours
But soon enough, I grow pretty tired of just traveling to where they are only to kill them in one hit, so I ended up using a bow and just snipe them across a rooftop instead
My maxed out [True Weapon Mastery] allows me to utilize an item to their fullest efficiency. It's not just a matter of strength or speed, but skill in wielding them that allows me to pull off techniques I can only dream of before
[True Archery]
- A variant of True Weapon Mastery. This skill specifically denotes your prowess with a ranged weapon.
- At this level, you can snipe a flying bird on the other side of the planet. Your maximum firing rate and damage is increased proportionally to your Agility and Strength parameter
"(Y/n), why are you playing with that kiddie toy bow?"
Because if I'd used a real bow, there's no telling what would happen to the street under us
Behind me, Ciel jumped up to the rooftop. Her Black Keys still stained with blood of the Dead. Seems like both of us were quite busy these past few days
"It's a Mystic Code disguised with an illusion to fool others into underestimating me" I held it childishly "I named it the Ultimate Shooting Star Bow"
"Oh?" Ciel peered at the thing, casting Structural Analysis on it "It still looks too mundane for me"
"You're not the first person to say that" I veered back the string "But watch this. You see that pole over there?"
An arrow nocked. A string released. An arrow soared. True to the title of the Shooting Star, it descended on it's target with overwhelming force, brutally ripping the lamp post off it's hinge with a blast of wind in it's direction
"What part of it says "kiddie toy bow" for you?"
"Alright alright, mister. You win" She smiled "I think I'm going to call you Archer from now on. You look quite skilled with that bow"
"...Please don't"
I do not feel comfortable being compared to Actually Satan
If anything, I'd feel safer nuking my opponent with Noble Phantasm from a distance than fighting them
wait...
"It's 8PM already" I checked my watch "My shift's over today. You mind taking over for me?"
"Sure thing"
"Thanks. Since my house's near here you can get by anytime you want. I'll treat you to some Mapo Tofu"
"The super spicy one?" She perked up
"Yes"
"With high quality red beans and beef?"
"The best"
"Home Cooked by your own hand?"
"Need you even ask?"
"....I'll consider it"
I pretend not to notice the trail of saliva running down her lips.
Black Keys and Mapo Tofu will always haunt me it seems
...Speaking of Black Keys...
"Anyway, there's something I want to give you" I pulled out a card from my sleeve and handed it to her
"Huh?" The girl's eyes widened in surprise as the card began glowing when she touched it "(Y/n), what is this?"
The illuminating card shattered into light sparks, which were then all absorbed by her body. The girl felt the rush of strength accompanied by it. The tightening of her muscle could be felt as her physical abilities were amp up by several degree
Craft Essence equipped: [The Red Black Keys]
- Increase Buster Performance by 10%
"Well, just an experiment. You shouldn't be too worried about it" I said to the girl who's still in shock at this new development
"W-what?"
"Yorokube Shojo" Grinning, I poked in the forehead "And happy hunting"
Before she could say anything else, I jumped off the building and dashed toward the direction of home sweet home, hoping to hell she didn't try to kill me for using her as a lab rat

It was a few years earlier before I was reincarnated here, I have a few friends who are into Gacha games
One of them play something called "Fate: Grand Order". Apparently you play it like a Visual Novel. You play the game's story, collect servants, play it a little more, then grind a little. It's like Pokemon, except with Gacha and a lot of memes
I tried it a little. On my first roll I got a SSR Servants, then the second one, and the third, and the fourth
It was then that I realized the drop rate in this game is too high. What's the point of the Gacha if you're going to get five star Servants all the time? The developer should lower your chances to roll them a little
Unable to level up
[True Golden Rule] had already been maxed out
- [Wealth]: As one who creates all, you are the rightful owner of everything in existence, thus making the materialistic needs of mortal obsolete before you
- [Body]: It could be said that your body had reached the peak of what could ever be achieved by physical entities. Depending on your restraint level, the physical vessel you're living in will get closer to perfection as time goes on
- [Mind]: You have a perfect memory, capable of recalling every information you've received with crystal clear accuracy. Additionally,
*cough* Back to the point though, I've realized the power system in it was quite noteworthy. The interesting notion of imposing a concept into your Servant to boost their power in combat certainly intrigues a creator like me
The card I gave Ciel is only a weak one to test the water. I realized I could alter the card for them to suit the need of a human. At her level, the girl should be able to handle it's power due to her unique anatomy
In the mean time, I am trying to see if I can alter the timeline safely with my presence
Following the original Tsukihime timeline, Ciel will soon get involved with the ordeal between Shiki Tohno and Arcueid. Based on the route the protagonist choose, maybe he'll get her to actually feel love and end up together with her.
In that period of time, my presence may potentially compromise the plot if I chose to stay there. Which leaves me with the option of doing whatever the hell I want, now that everything had fallen in place
Namely, packing my stuff and temporarily moving out of this town until the whole shenanigans die down. It's simple, I just need to ask Narbareck for a month-long mission outside with the excuse of "wanting to get more experience about the working of Executor in urban areas"
She did say there's that assignment from Fuyuki city that needs to be done. Given that there's still 3 years before the Holy Grail War began there, I shouldn't be afraid of accidentally changing anything
<><><><><><><><><>
Ripping through yet another horde of Ghouls with her Keys, Ciel couldn't help but felt miffled at the ease to which they were torn under her strike
It wasn't a significant change, but it was noticeable. Each strikes contained more power than it should have. A blow meant to incapacitate ended up outright killing them. Even then the force behind it would be enough to stagger the other Ghouls nearby, creating yet more openings for her to exploit
This is ridiculous. Average Magus her ass. (Y/n)'s abilities in certain fields could be considered on par the Clock Tower's most outstanding members, including Zelretch himself.
Projection borderline on the First Magic. Alteration of entire concepts on objects and human. Reinforcements that turn mundane items into Mystic Codes. A natural talent in combat even by Enforcer's standard. Really, with such an alluring goldmine of a body Roa wouldn't stop at anything to attain it
Her blade faltered mid-strike in a bout of hesitation, forcing her to block the Ghouls as they pounced as her
C-could it be that (Y/n) is actually Roa Valdamjong in disguise?
The revelation was chilling. She hadn't thought about it until now. The image of the clueless boy being related to him just seems wrong. Utterly disgusting and tasteless
What if the kindness he had shown her was nothing more than an act?
Growling, the girl launched several Black Keys forward using the Iron Plate technique. The point-blank shot combined with the spread kinetic energy on a large surface was enough to elicit a small explosion in the area
She will not doubt him. Not if he hadn't done anything to warrant that doubt
Blood and organs rained down beside her. The girl only closed her eyes as the rancid smell of rotting body parts permeated her nose
For a moment, Ciel the Executor is gone. Replaced by Elesia, the vulnerable girl back then who are powerless to do anything
A wry chuckle escaped her lips
She is different now. Stronger, faster. She will not lose again. Not to him
<><><><><><><><><>
"So that's it" Narbareck chuckled "Less than a week in and you're already thinking of shirking away your partner, eh?"
"I doubt Ciel would miss me that much" I shrugged.
Sure I did helped her defeat Chaos. I did get to befriend her at school those past few days, and I get to invite her to my house for dinner, but that's just what they call a "cordial relationship". We're close, but not close-close, and especially not close-close-close
I probably will end up single at the end of the say. A fact that I have made peace with long ago
"Whatever you say, kid. Somehow you're even worse than those womanizer out there" The woman muttered as several files levitated from the shelves and floated up to her while opening themselves "There's a clear difference between one who tries to flirt and succeed, and one who unknowingly does yet still succeed"
As someone who prided herself on her good intuition, the Agency's director could already see this boy bringing her many troubles in the future
"Here, this one" One of them fell on the desk, revealing a familiar face "It's not a mission as much as it is a request from one of the Church's donator. Originally Ciel will take this mission, but since you're here might as well make you do it"
I took it up and began skimming through the content. The longer I read, the paler my face became
"Say, Director, are there any other missi-"
"Already completed and being worked on by the other members"
"But isn't Tokiomi Tohsaka capable of solving this himself?"
"He trusts the capability of the Church more than his own servant. We're being tasked with something that he considers to be important here, so there's no backing down if you don't want to damage his expectation for us"
"So let me rephrase this again" pinching the bridge of my nose, I sighed
"Tokiomi Tohsaka and his wife Aoi will attend a Lord's meeting at the Clock Tower next week in preparation for some Bullshit event. In that time, he want us to send a trusted capable personnel from the Church that will-"
I swallowed
"That will serve as a babysitter for his daughters, Rin and Sakura Tohsaka"
"Also, you get to meet a fellow Executor named Kirei Kotomine who will assist you for this mission" The woman chimed in "He's the same age group as yours, isn't that great? I'm sure you two will get along well"
My smile cracked
Damn it

Author's Note: Go on. Laugh at me all you want. I know you people hate genderbend character with a passion here
