Month 10 (September): Bun Khao Sak or Salak Pat Festival
The Bun Khao Sak, also known as the Salak Pat Festival, is a merit-making ceremony dedicated to deceased relatives. Villagers prepare offerings and place them in specially labeled containers, known as salak (lot-drawing items). During the ceremony, monks randomly draw lots, and the person whose name is drawn is responsible for offering the prepared food and items to the monk who selected their lot.
