Corona Virus Modifications

Due to social distancing regulations, WOTW has suspended live gatherings. In lieu of our monthly live session, we hold a shorter, two-hour Sunday afternoon zoom session. We also have zoom sessions on the first Thursday, the third Monday, and the third Friday, all of these at 7:30 PM. Our Writers' Space Saloon is a non-critique discussion of an aspect of the craft or business or writing. Our Writers of the Weird in Exile online critique group is on indefinite hiatus.

What We're About

The Writers of Weird is a Community of published and unpublished authors with an interest in the weird genres of science fiction, fantasy and horror. We hold monthly online and live (in non-covid tiems) critique sessions, online forums and critiques, and a more relaxed salon-style gathering. WOTW is a part of the Science Fiction Association of Bergen County, a group which sponsors a number of additional activities each month. Some authors yearn to create sublime, exquisitely-refined works which can be properly appreciated only by evolved souls of transcendental consciousness. The Writers of the Weird is for writers who want to get paid because people read and like their yarns.
