The Winged & The Wild
A study on how patience and persistence can change an animal's temperament
This behavioral study focuses on the training of two wild parakeets, and how long it would take to train them through weekly sessions. The participants of this study include Inej, a light yellow and grey female who appears to be about 2-3 years old, and Jesper, a brightly colored blue, yellow, and green male who looks to be 3-4. These birds were marked with a purple spot on their head and transferred into a large cage after being chosen to be the focus of this study. The pair was worked with and trained to be hand-tamed on a weekly basis. After each week, a post was added to the 'Posts and Updates' page on the progress and any findings that were discovered. Both birds were fully trained by the end of the year, and videos of them can be seen down below.

Birds do not try to fly away when I walk around the store, especially near the bird room
Birds do not bite when I try to pet or hold them
