Although Jeju Island is warmer than mainland Korea, it still has 4
different seasons. Hence, it is vital to prepare readily for the weather while going.
To make the most of your vacation, stay in Jeju city.
The island is not cheap as most attractions require entrance tickets
however foreigners get extra discounts when purchasing online.
Hotels on the Island range from $27 to as high as $4717 a night. Most
rentals cost between $150 and $380 a night for a whole house. An
the average global flight to the Jeju International Airport (CJU) per person
for an economy, ticket ranges from $1005 to $1493 and $3154 to $4685
for first class.
Public buses from the airport to the city centre cost about $4 while
taxis to residential areas costs about $30. It is, however, easier to get
around by rental cars than by public vehicles. Cars can be rented online or at
the airport. T cards are used if you choose to travel by public bus.
When not travelling by car, it is best to book bus tours as they take you
to the best tourist sites.
Depending on your activity, it is advisable to budget between $25 and
$50 per person per day to get around and enjoy local restaurants.
Day one: Focus on Jeju city and the Northeast coast.
Jeju City: Best sights and attractions include Jeju Folklore and Natural
History museum; Black pork restaurant street; Iho Tewoo Beach; Five
Day Folk market; Dodubong peak and Gwandeokjeong Pavilion.
Hamdeok Beach: Known for its clear blue skies. Best to visit during

Manjanggul Cave: The world’s largest lava cave. Regarded as
UNESCO world heritage site. Entrance fee: $2; Opening time= 9am -
6 pm.
DAY TWO: Still on the Jeju city. Visit a museum, aquarium and beautiful
movie scenery.
Haenyeo Museum: Dedicated to the female divers who collect
shellfish fish and seaweed every day. Different exhibitions show their
culture, routines and everyday life. Entrance fee: $2; Opening times:
9 am -6 pm.
Seopjikoji: A small hill with the most beautiful scenery. Featured in
movies and dramas like The Uprising one, Gingko Bed. Entrance fee:
free; Opening time: Always.
Hanwha Aqua Planet Jeju: the biggest aquarium in East Asia. Home
to more than 5000 ocean animals from Korea and abroad. Visitors
get to see female divers in action. Entrance fee: $2, special foreigner
discounts available online; Opening time: 10am-7pm.
Day three: Go west, explore more beaches and museums.
Hyeopjae Beach is the best place for a relaxing stroll with its white sand, black lava formation, and beautiful views. Entrance
fee= free; opening time= always.
Seogwang Tea Garden & Museum: Th largest tea plantation in Korea.

Chocolate Museum: The 2 nd largest chocolate museum in the world.
You can sample some great chocolate and purchase them later. Entrance

DAY FOUR: Visit the south island
Cheonjeyeon Waterfall: The largest waterfall south of Jeju Island.
Named after the pond of heaven. Entrance fee= $3; opening time=
9 am-7 pm.
Yakcheonsa Temple: An impressive coastal temple built during the
Silla dynasty and is part of the main Buddist order in Korea. Entrance
fee= free; opening time= always.
Teddy Bear Museum: Houses the most expensive teddy bear worth
$2.1million. Located in the middle of Jeju city and Seogwipo city.
Entrance fee $7, special foreigner discount available online; opening
time= 9am-10pm.
