• PPE is specialized clothing or equipment which protects the wearer from blood or other potentially infectious material

  • Disposable Gloves

  • Gowns

  • Face Shields

  • Resuscitation Masks

  • Glasses

• Effective PPE will not allow potentially infectious material to reach you skin, eyes, mouth, or clothes under normal use

• Clothing such as uniforms, pants, and shirts which are not intended to function as a protective barrier against hazards are not considered to be PPE

• It is the employers responsibility to provide appropriate personal protective equipment for the employee's job description
