• Approximately 70 to 80% of people with acute HCV do not show symptoms

• Of those that do have symptoms, symptoms include:

  • Fever

  • Fatigue

  • Loss of Appetite

  • Nausea

  • Vomiting

  • Abdominal Pain

  • Dark Urine

  • Clay-Colored Bowel Movements

  • Joint Pain and/or

  • Jaundice

• HCV is also infectious to other people even when the carrier does not have symptoms

• If symptoms occur, they typically show 6 to 7 weeks after exposure, but can range from 2 weeks to 6 months
