A little bit about me:
Hello, my name is Kimberly Mattina and I am a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, educator and a lifelong learner. I am a full time Computer Science Teacher at the Galloway Township Middle School, in Galloway, New Jersey.

My responsibilities as a Computer Science Teacher are to integrate meaningful learning experiences for students in grades 7-8, that are aligned with NJ Student Learning Standards. I teach coding using physical computing devices and robots to provide students with engaging experiences that will provide lifelong skills and promote higher order thinking skills, problem solving skills, and computing skills.
Manage the day to day duties of an educator such as building meaningful relationships with students, creating lesson plans, classroom management, parent interactions, grades, and feedback.
Implement the use of technology which includes various applications such as; Oncourse, GoGuardian, SmartPass, ClassLink, Frontline, Oaysis, Brainpop, Google Workspace for Education, Microsoft Office, and hardware components such as a Google Jamboard, document camera, projector, Google Chromebooks, iPads, and Windows computer.

Technology Teacher
During my role as a Technology Teacher, I provided assistance in building technology lessons and curriculum for staff, provided professional development and support to all staff at the school and throughout the district. This includes 1:1, and large whole group instruction.
Virtual Learning Specialist
During COVID, I provided support for teachers, parents, and staff of the school district and community. In addition, I was able to troubleshoot technology issues, including hardware and software applications, remotely, in person, or via telephone to support daily tasks for educators and parents. I created training resources and provided professional development on emerging technologies for staff, in person and remotely.
