Albert Johan Kramer - 7'8.25 (234.32 cm)

Albert Johan Kramer ( Amsterdam , June 15, 1897 – there, April 4, 1976 ) with a height of 2.42 meters was possibly the tallest Dutch man of all time. He has performed worldwide as a variety artist , among others under the stage names Lofty and Jan van Albert .

Albert Johan Kramer suffered from so-called gigantism . At birth he already weighed 8.5 kilos. When he was seven years old, he was already two meters tall and 2.28 meters at the age of 21. His maximum weight was 250 kilograms. After the amputation of his legs, he weighed 170 kilograms.

The sources often contradict each other about Kramer's length. Usually 2.42 meters is used, but sometimes 2.69 meters are also spoken. Otto Schlaginhaufen, an anthropologist who researched Kramer in July 1923, noted 2.54 meters in length. His shoe size was 65 at the most and 63 at the latest before the amputation.

Kramer had a brother and four sisters. In 1926 he married the Swiss Wilhelmina Fässler (his second marriage). He formed a duo for years with his dwarf -stricken brother-in-law Josef " Seppetoni " Fässler, who was no taller than 69 centimeters. Together they performed in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom , Germany and the United States , among others . In the UK, Kramer also worked with another man with dwarfism; Fred Aslett, aka Pip.

After years of working as an artist, Kramer finally decided to settle back in the Netherlands and start a career in the hospitality industry . On January 12, 1958, Kramer founded the Klub Long People (KLM), especially for people taller than 1.80 metres.

Kramer died in 1976 in the nursing home De Drie Hoven in Amsterdam Slotervaart. He stayed there from June 1975, after both his legs were amputated as a result of vascular problems and circulation disorders.
