Gen Con Wrap-Up Post 4 - Miscellaneous!

First up, we got to meet Dan Cassar, the designer of Arboretum! Arboretum was the very first game we demoed and purchased at a gaming convention, so it holds a special place in our heart. He was showing off his upcoming game, Mischief, which looks like a really tricky card game that we would enjoy! 

We also attended AEG Big Game Night! We weren’t totally sure how it worked, and we were exhausted from the entire day of walking, but we stuck it out and had a good time! Next year, we’ll definitely plan our schedule better so we’re not as tired during this (and so we don’t have any events for the morning after). The games featured this year were Nocturne, Cascadia: Rolling Hills, and Truffle Shuffle!

We played in a handful of tournaments, but didn’t win any. We still had fun, though! We played in tournaments for Sagrada, Ark Nova, Unmatched, Summoner Wars, and Arcs! 

On the first night there, we brought along Clank! Legacy, and got another session in! We’ve been playing this with our friend, Blaze, but he moved away recently. We have to get in sessions when we can! One day we’ll finish this game off! 

On the drive back home, we made a pit stop at the Warm Glow Candle Outlet! We like to buy chocolate and coffee here (and take selfies in front of The Big Candle).
