Also most of the times there are easy alternatives out there. Habits like using reusable bags instead of plastic bags, quitting bottled water and carrying around your reusable bottle, asking for no plastic straws at restaurants and bars, quitting shampoo plastic bottles do make a difference.
4. Embrace minimalism.
Before you spend money next time think where it goes, how it affects the planet and how you can become a more conscious consumer. In the capitalistic society we live in is usual to be surrounded by many things we don't really need, start by changing your criteria and choose quality over quantity. For example when you buy from fast fashion chains, you usually spend unnecessary amounts of your money to clothes that you don’t really like but you buy them anyway since it’s trend even though you know you re gonna wear them maximum 5-10 times. 5. Go zero waste or try to reduce your waste at a decent amount.

Livestock consumes big amounts of natural sources and is also responsible for deforestation and greenhouse emissions. Get started with meatlessmondays and gradually reduce even more, remember vegetarian diets can also give you the necessary nutrients. Despite organic fruits and veggies can be a bit more expensive than usual groceries, they’re good for you and the environment since they’re free from toxic substances.
