A little bit about me: I am Brian Costello, an educator and author who working as a Digital Innovations Specialist at Fernwood Avenue Middle School with the Egg Harbor Township School District in Southern New Jersey.
Digital Innovation Specialist
My primary responsibility is as a middle school Digital Innovations Specialist is to work with teachers and students to incorporate meaningful digital learning into their curriculum. Within my role at the school I provide professional development and ongoing support for teacher while also engaging students in digital literacy and emerging technologies.
I am the author of Will McGill and the Magic Hat. WIll McGill is a You can expect to see the sequel to Will McGill and the Magic Hat as well as my first education book before the end of this year.
In addition, I am proud to announce that I am a Google Certified Innovator (TOR16) and a Google Certified Trainer. I have been providing professional development in technology and using Google tools for the past three years. In addition to this, I am a PBS Digital Innovator (2016), spotlight speaker at TechRodeo, and faculty at CUE Rockstar Oxnard this summer.
Brian is the creator and project director for the Global Audience Project. The Global Audience Project is designed to take the difficulty out of finding meaningful learning opportunities for your students by helping you find students to share or be an audience for your projects. The Global Audience Project focuses on helping teachers and students connect with a larger world.
