When you arrive at Sitio Punod, you are given the choice to walk all the way to the Mayana Peak or ride a motorcycle and would take about 15 – 20 minutes of bumpy ride.
First stop in the peak is their guest house. List your names there and after that, they will provide you a tour guide. There’s no entrance fee and tour guide fee so it’s all up to you how much you will give.
Last but not the least is a short trek that would take about 10 – 15 minutes to the view point of Mayana Peak.
Niludhan Falls, one of Negros Island’s underrated natural attractions, lies hidden amidst its forests and vast sugarcane plantations and agricultural lands in Bayawan City, Negros Oriental. This water wonder is conveniently located right beside the main road along the city’s northern border connecting Brgy. Dawis to adjacent Mabinay town.
A river feeds the 25-meter wide waterfalls that ends on a 40-meter vertical drop, creating the magnificent curtain falls. One can witness and capture its full magnificence, which resembles that of the Tinuy-an Falls in Bislig, during the rainy season or after a relatively strong downpour.
Kansalakan River is located between Barangay Balugo and Barangay Banuague in Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental. The deepest part of this river is 30 feet. It has natural shape and design. The natureal pool with under water swim through keep the guest enjoying their swimming in its fresh crystal clear water. The fresh water comes from forest down to Kansalakan river flow. The River is 20 minutes away from Hinakpan Hills, on the way to Hinakpan River you will pass the rice field, vegetable field and lots of traditional native houses along the way. The chocolate Hills of Negros
Hinakpan Hills are certainly one of the top tourist spots of this region. They are situated at the peak of Guihulngan. Driving along the highway, they are easy to visit. The cool and much fresher air is the first guests will experience when getting close to the Chocolate Hills of Negros, located at Barangay Hinakpan. The Hinakpan Hills are only 45 minutes ride away from the City of Guihulngan , Negros Oriental or 1 hours and 30 minutes ride away from the Municipality of Isabela, Negros Occidental.
The view of the different sized Chocolate Hills, the rice terraces and the vegetable fields is simply magnificent. Geologic forces cast all 237 limestone peak in unique shapes and sizes. The name Hinakpan Hills and that of barangay Hinakpan originated from the abundant of hardwood trees called “takpan” in that area.
Tierra Alta is around 30 minutes away from Dumaguete city. It is located in Palinpinon, Valencia, Negros Oriental.
