It’s the battle of the century. Dante and Ruby Rose, two ex-top tiers fighting against the forces of the Super Smash Bros meta. The four fighters prepare for battle, as Knuckles, Funky, and PAG plan to assist while also protecting a very exhausted Lou Albano.
So, have a plan, Ruby?
No, nothing yet. All I knew was that these two were going to attack you guys out of nowhere.
How did you know?
Long story short, Okabe told me everything. I’ll tell the full story later. Right now, buy me some time to figure out how these guys work.
You got it.
Dante takes out Ebony and Ivory and starts shooting at the two. Meta Knight and Fox continue to stick together and go straight for Dante, but Ruby tags herself in and swings her scythe, covering a wide range and making the two Smash Bros back off. Dante then takes out Nevan and starts making riffs, causing electric balls to chase after the two. The projectiles were slow, causing the two to dodge them easily, but Ruby sneaks up behind them and almost catches them off guard. Fox and Meta Knight avoid the attack and step back for a moment.
Keep using your projectiles, Dante! They can only attack you upfront!
Already on it!
Dante continues jamming with Nevan and more electric orbs jump out of the guitar. Ruby turns her scythe into its sniper form and starts shooting at the two. Fox and Meta Knight keep dodging out of the way, and it seems to be overwhelming them.
Wowza! I think it’s working folks!
Gah, this is getting annoying. Campers should be taught a lesson!
Fox then charges towards the duo, but they both charge their projectiles. Dante points Ebony and Ivory at the fox while Ruby points Crescent Rose at the duo.
Jackpot.
Dante shoots both Ebony and Ivory and a swirl of blue and red goes after Fox. Ruby then shoots her shot and the bullet is being followed by rose petals, going after the same target. It looks as if the attack is going to hit, but…
SHINE!
Fox quickly pulls out his reflector and returns the projectiles back at Ruby and Dante. They all look in awe as their attack comes back at them at twice their speed and a giant blast launches them away.
Game, set, and match.
Meta Knight then swoops in forward and tries to deliver the final blow, but Penta Axe General steps in front and clashes his ax with Meta Knight.
I may be at a disadvantage, but this will not dissuade me!
Hmph. This is no longer bravery, it’s stubbornness.
The galactic warrior overpowers the ax and knocks it out of the general’s hand. He follows it up with a hard slash. The gang is pinned at the corner, the Metagame Knights are at the advantage.
Damn, what do we do now?
My aura… it’s running out… I can’t use my semblance anymore…
All of a sudden, a shining light catches the attention of Mr. Albano. A shining, rainbow-colored ball, floating around the sky. There seems to be a cross on it, with an intersection on the lower left of the ball.
What is that thing?
Knuckles and Funky look at what Lou is pointing at, and both stare in awe.
Maybe it’ll help us. Funky, try grabbing that thing!
You got it!
Funky jumps up and tries to smack it, but Fox prepares another shot from his blaster. As he was about to shoot, Ruby interrupts the shot by shooting a bullet from Crescent Rose.
Think again…
Meta Knight then quickly kicks Ruby away and closer to Lou.
Ruby!
Next time, learn from your mistakes. Respect your elders.
Funky and Knuckles still try to grab the floating ball, but it keeps flying away and away from them. All of a sudden, it’s right behind the Metagame Knights. It was at this moment that the general thought up of a brilliant plan.
Sir Albano!
Penta Axe General then hands Lou a Throwing Axe.
What are you doing, paisano?
Quick! Throw it at them!
But-
Trust me!
Without any more hesitation, Lou chucks the ax at the enemy only for the two top tiers to dodge it.
Haven’t you learned? We’re too fast!
We weren’t aiming for you.
Although the ax never hit Fox or Meta Knight, it was directly on target. The floating ball that Knuckles and Funky keep chasing was struck by the ax and finally, it breaks.
What the-
A final smash?! How are items enabled?!
Suddenly, Lou Albano was surging with power, colors are weaving into a spire of flame, and within Lou’s body, he can feel distant sparks call upon his origins unknown to him.
I can feel it! It’s… strong!
Lou then looks at the two top tiers with a glare comparable to that of a god. Those remarks of him being low tier have grown into a threatening aura. The two metas are now quivering in fear.
Now that’s what I like to see… show ‘em what you got Lou!
Mr. Albano…
Don’t worry, Ruby. I got this. Hey boys! You better ready yourself! Cuz these flames are way cooler than the ones in Hell.
Lou coups his hands together and emits a flaming spiral, going towards the Metagame Knights. The two try to evade it, but the flames were so massive they hit them anyway. The flames kept pushing them away from the battlefield.
Grgh… just what is this?
It’s a Final Smash… don’t worry, his isn’t that strong.
Dante then steps up and helps Lou one more time.
Need a hand, man?
Dante! Use this!
Ruby then tosses a cartridge with a fiery emblem to Dante.
It’s flame dust. I gave a lot to Pyro, but this should still be enough to help Mr. Albano. Insert them into Ebony and Ivory, and it’ll power up your gun just enough to give the fiery aspects.
You got it, sister. Now... without any interruptions.
Dante twirls his guns around and aims at the Metagame Knights with Lou.
Jackpot.
Dante fires and a flaming spiral from Dante’s gun intertwines with Lou’s. As soon as it reaches the Metagame Knights, an explosion is made. The explosion launches Fox and Meta Knight into the atmosphere, performing a star KO. And just like that, Lou and his team have won.
Phew. Another job well done.
