A man in a long white lab coat sits on his couch and stares down at the invitation. It was puzzling to say the least. He received it a few days ago. He wasn’t sure what it meant or why he of all people was accepted. It certainly wasn’t a scientific competition. The man couldn’t help but think this was more than meets the eye. While the man wonders about his invite, a girl searching for her next interview is already on her way.
This is so exciting! I can’t wait to interview a real time traveller!
Okabe thinks to himself in his apartment.
(How long has it been since I went through all those things… How long has it been since the last time leap… Is it possible that this invite has something to do with it? No… no, that’s ridiculous. Things are safe now. That’s all that matters.)
Suddenly a happy-go-lucky voice enters the small apartment.
Tuturuu! Mayushii’s here!
Ah! Well if it isn’t my hostage! Has anything happened with the organization?
There’s actually a visitor! She said she’s with S.A.L.T! She wants an interview! Isn’t that exciting?
Hi! My name is Ibuki Mioda! I am glad to be here! I just wanted to a-
AH! WHO ARE YOU? ARE YOU WITH THE ORGANIZATION?!
Okabe takes out his phone, pretending to talk to someone.
Hello? Yes this is Kyouma! Our lab has been compromised! Commence defense protocol 528!
Ibuki couldn’t help but be just a bit weirded out by Okabe’s mannerisms…

Okabe strikes an overly dramatic pose in front of Ibuki. However, there wasn’t any reaction.
Alright, next question! Is it true that you’ve actually travelled through time with the time leap machine?

The room suddenly got tense and quiet. Okabe was reminded of everything he’s been through once again. He became a bit nervous and hesitant.
(How the hell does she know about the time leap machine? She was never involved in any of the worldlines. How the hell does she know about it? I'm in the steins gate worldline. Everything is fine. Stay calm….)

Okabe? Are you feeling alright?
Y- yes I'm fine. It's nothing to worry about…
(That’s strange. Not exactly the reaction I was expecting. I guess time travel is too crazy?)
Ibuki must’ve unknowingly struck a nerve with the mad scientist, so she cut the awkward silence with another question.
Right, I should move onto the next question then. Why did you decide to join the Strange Alternative Leader Tournament?
What? Oh r- right. The tournament. Well, it was more so by accident…

Mayuri heard of the tournament through some advertisements and wanted all of us to come along for a trip this year, so she filled out everything we needed. Long story short, she had me apply to be a contestant instead of a guest.
Eh heh heh, Mayushii was pretty confused with all that paperwork…
Ibuki couldn’t help but find the story amusing and giggled a bit trying to hold a straight face.
At least we get the opportunity to meet the other contestants. I wonder what they’re like? I've heard a rumor that one of them is a huntress!

I am definitely curious. Even though I'm not an expert on music as much as science, I’ll surely be supporting Okabe on the sidelines!

Ibuki couldn’t help but be amazed at the mad scientist’s sudden overconfidence. Maybe he really was mad? Okabe takes out his phone once more.
