Our mission as a locally made, independent and nonpartisan newspaper, “The Romulus Reader”, is therefore stated:

• To provide high-quality journalism, via physical and digital means, about the city of Romulus, Michigan with coverage of subjects such as politics, schools, the natural and built environment, arts and culture

• To raise the standard of content about the city of Romulus and control the spin of its portrayal in media relations

• To foster civic participation by offering a forum for civil public discussion

• To help provide the tools necessary for active engagement

• To cultivate city engagement in city events, local businesses and overall pride of the city and its values

• To print factual, honest and accurate information in the interest of the citizens of Romulus and those who represent it
