If you want a wired gaming headset with RGB lighting and broad platform compatibility for office multitasking, choose Thermaltake Argent H5; if you need true wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation and studio-grade audio fidelity for the office, choose OPPO Enco X3s.
• Thermaltake Argent H5: Delivers immersive 7.1 surround sound with RGB aesthetics but relies on a wired connection that limits mobility. Best for users who prioritize desktop immersion and fixed-position use.
• OPPO Enco X3s: Offers exceptional battery life and industry-leading noise cancellation in a portable form factor, though it lacks the physical bulk of over-ear designs. Best for professionals seeking freedom of movement and silence.
The Thermaltake Argent H5 is built for those who demand a dedicated listening station without the hassle of charging cables or wireless latency. This headset features a robust over-ear design with leather and plastic construction, ensuring a secure fit during long sessions. The inclusion of 50mm Hi-Res drivers capable of reproducing frequencies up to 40,000 Hz suggests a wide sonic range that can handle everything from deep bass rumble to high-frequency detail. For an office environment, this makes it an excellent choice for users who need to switch between intense focus work, media consumption, and communication without worrying about their battery dying mid-call.
Its connectivity is straightforward and reliable, utilizing a standard 3.5 mm jack. This means it works immediately with PCs, Macs, mobile devices, and even consoles like Xbox One or Nintendo Switch without needing to pair or troubleshoot Bluetooth connections. The headset also supports media control directly on the unit, allowing you to manage playback without reaching for your device. While it does not feature active noise cancellation, the over-ear enclosure provides passive isolation that many users find sufficient for blocking out general office hum.

However, this product is strictly wired. If your daily workflow involves moving around the office, taking calls while walking, or commuting, the tethered nature of the Argent H5 becomes a significant constraint. The 359-gram weight is noticeable over extended periods, which might be a factor for some users compared to lighter alternatives. It is designed for adults who are stationary at their desk and value the consistency of a wired connection over the convenience of wireless freedom.
The OPPO Enco X3s is engineered for the modern professional who refuses to compromise on audio quality or productivity. These true wireless earbuds represent a shift toward high-fidelity portable audio, co-engineered with Dynaudio to deliver a specific sound profile known for natural tonality and pristine clarity. The internal architecture pairs dual dynamic drivers—a large 11mm unit for bass and a 6mm planar tweeter for highs—with dual high-resolution DACs. This setup ensures that whether you are listening to conference calls, podcasts, or music, the reproduction remains accurate and distortion-free.
For the office worker, the standout feature is undoubtedly the 55dB Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation. This technology actively eliminates ambient noise across an ultra-wide frequency range of up to 5500Hz, effectively silencing office chatter, street sounds, and airplane engine rumble. This capability transforms a busy open-plan workspace into a private oasis, making it one of the best options for those who need to concentrate deeply. Furthermore, the IP55 rating means these earbuds are resistant to dust, sweat, and heavy rain, offering durability that goes beyond typical office wear.
Battery performance is another critical strength for this device. With 11 hours of playback on a single charge, you can easily get through a full workday without reaching for the case. When paired with the wireless charging case, the total playtime extends to 45 hours, eliminating the anxiety of running out of power during long trips or heavy usage. The Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity ensures a stable link within a 10-meter range, providing the seamless transition between devices that modern workers require. While they lack the physical presence of over-ear headphones, their in-ear design offers a discreet alternative for video conferencing and personal listening alike.

In my opinion, the OPPO Enco X3s is the superior choice for the modern office worker. While the Thermaltake Argent H5 is a solid piece of hardware with impressive driver specs and a familiar wired connection, the reality of today's workplace demands mobility and silence. The ability to block out 55dB of ambient noise with the Enco X3s creates a level of concentration that a passive headset simply cannot match. Combined with the convenience of 45-hour battery life and the premium sound quality derived from Dynaudio tuning, these earbuds offer a more versatile and productive experience. If you are looking for the best clip-on earbuds for office use that don't sacrifice audio fidelity, the Enco X3s stands out as the clear winner.
Yes, both products serve the office well but for different reasons. The Thermaltake Argent H5 is ideal for a fixed desk setup requiring zero-latency wired audio, while the OPPO Enco X3s excels in open offices due to its active noise cancellation and wireless freedom.
The OPPO Enco X3s offers significantly longer usability with 11 hours on a single charge and 45 hours total with the case. The Thermaltake Argent H5 is wired and does not have a battery, so it never needs recharging but is limited by cable length.
The OPPO Enco X3s uses dual dynamic drivers and a planar tweeter with LHDC 5.0 support to deliver studio-grade wireless audio. The Thermaltake Argent H5 uses 50mm drivers for a wide frequency response, prioritizing surround sound effects over pure hi-res fidelity.
Both units are built for adults and come with a 2-year manufacturer warranty. The OPPO Enco X3s adds IP55 resistance against dust and water, making it more durable against spills or outdoor commutes compared to the standard plastic and leather build of the Thermaltake headset.
