Hi dancers, and welcome to The Reel Deal!


In this series of blog posts, we’ll dive into mindset, planning, training, and all things Irish dance. I’m really excited to share this with you and hope you find something valuable or discover a new idea to incorporate into your dance routine. Please note that the content here is based on my personal experiences and insights from various sources throughout my dance career. While I strive to offer useful and accurate information, I have no formal education in sports psychology. My goal is to share some of my knowledge and experience, and help you work towards your dancing goals!


As I mentioned, some of the things we’ll be talking about are mindset, planning, and training. Many of these things can be helpful to dancers of all ages and skill levels. That said, some posts will be catered specifically towards competitive dancers. However, I believe that even the advice meant for competitors can offer insights and benefits for those involved in recreational dance. So, whether you’re gearing up for a competition or just enjoying dance for fun, there’s something here for everyone!
