I have been a PhD student at Institut Mathématique de Bordeaux since Septembre 2023, under the supervision of Vincent Duchêne and David Lannes. My work is devoted to the study of partial differential equations (PDE), in the context of oceanography. Phenomena I study include stratification, shallow-water limit, internal waves, free surfaces.
Two models for internal waves: continuous density variations (blue and yellow shadings) can be approximated by an interface (red line) between two layers... to some extent. Want to know more ?
