Dr. Asif Muhammad is an accomplished researcher, and educator with extensive experience in academia, software development, and research. He holds a PhD in Computer Science (2015-2023) from Capital University of Science and Technology, Islamabad, focusing on high-performance computing, and Big data scheduling mechanisms. His academic journey also includes an MS in Software Engineering and a Professional MBA from SZABIST, Islamabad, complementing his technical expertise with business acumen. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor at FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences (FAST-NUCES), Islamabad, where he teaches Data Structures and Blockchain Technologies and mentors students in cutting-edge computing fields. Previously, he spent a decade (2013-2023) at COMSATS University Islamabad as a Lecturer, teaching courses on programming, web technologies, data science, and database systems.
In addition to academia, Dr. Asif has a strong industry background, having worked in senior software engineering and leadership roles at different firms. His technical expertise includes Microsoft .NET technologies, ASP.NET (C#), SQL Server, JavaScript, MERN Stack, and distributed computing, with extensive experience in enterprise application development. A prolific researcher, Dr. Asif has authored multiple journal and conference publications in reputable venues such as IEEE Access, PeerJ Computer Science, and Journal of Supercomputing. His research contributions focus on stream processing, and efficient computational scheduling, addressing real-world challenges in high-performance computing. Beyond his research, he actively contributes to the academic community as a reviewer for PeerJ Computer Science and The Journal of Supercomputing. His commitment to advancing technology is reflected in his professional memberships and research collaborations.
