Can you think of someone you truly admire? Just someone that inspired you to do greater things in this life. Now, think of a place that you can call ‘home.’ The place that made you who you are today.

Paranaque Science High School (Mataas na Paaralang Pang-Agham ng Parañaque) was established in February 1, 1994 as signed by the former Paranaque City Mayor Pablo R. Olivarez spearheaded by 1988 Paranaque City Mayor Walfrido N. Ferrer, and his sister Mrs. Flor Cordero. The school aims to cater academically outstanding students in the Sciences, Technologies, Engineering, and Math that will serve the country for its betterment.

Back in the time, the institution was located beside the Paranaque Municipal High School and is known to be the PNHS-Annex. With borrowed classrooms, 21 students were cast as the first-ever ParSci students. In 2009, ParSci became an independent school granted by the Department of Education, and come the year 2011; former Mayor Florencio M. Bernabe Jr. bought a property in Brgy. Sto Nino, but when 2016 came, ParSci moved to a 4-story building just beside its former building and the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Paranaque and is now the strong, sturdy, wide, and majestic building that is a home to the new generation of academically-gifted students of Paranaque. But how about those who have already succeeded in their own fields?

We have Jose Angelo David who was featured in national television and newspaper because of how he succeedingly received a Law degree in Harvard University despite the struggles that he faced, especially financially. Many admired his story and what made ParScians more shocked was when they found out that Jose Angelo came from the same school they’re studying —- ParSci! Jose Angelo continues to support ParSci and its endeavors together with other alumni.

Then we also have Sarah Elago, part of the House of Representatives of the Philippines from the Kabataan Partylist that authored numerous bills and laws especially the 10k Ayuda and Ligtas na Balik-eskwela during the surge of the pandemic and is looked up to by many students from ParSci for her bravery to fight for the Filipino despite being red-tagged by the reactionary forces. Elago is a proud ParScian who continues to communicate and support ParScians and encourages them to be part of the Filipino struggle.

Paranaque Science High School is a home to many achievers that never fail to make the academy proud. Up to this day, the school receives numerous awards each year for its superb students that collectively create a name for ParSci through division-wide to national competitions. It is truly the home of the blue-blooded and gold-hearted individuals.

Soar High, ParSci!
