Welcome to the Minecraft PE Commands, Seeds & Beginner Guide hub. Here you will find a complete list of Minecraft Pocket Edition commands, the best seeds for survival and village starts, essential crafting recipes, and simple tips that help new players survive their first nights. Every page is written for mobile players and kept easy to follow, so you can learn fast and spend more time building.
Minecraft PE (Pocket Edition) is the mobile version of Minecraft, now part of Minecraft Bedrock Edition. It runs on Android and iOS and shares the same worlds, commands and features as the Windows, Xbox, PlayStation and Switch versions. That means every command and recipe in this guide also works on those platforms.
Bedrock Edition commands are slightly different from Java Edition commands, so guides written for PC Java players do not always work on your phone. Everything below is written for Bedrock.
Before you can use any command, you need to turn on cheats for your world:
1. Open Minecraft PE and tap Play.
2. Tap the pencil icon next to your world (or create a new world).
3. Go to the Cheats section and switch on Activate Cheats.
4. Tap Play, open the chat and type a command starting with a forward slash (/).
Important: turning on cheats permanently disables achievements for that world. If you care about achievements, test commands in a separate copy of your world.
These are the most useful Minecraft PE commands. Replace the numbers and names with your own values.
• /gamemode survival – normal play with health and hunger
• /gamemode creative – unlimited blocks and flying
• /gamemode adventure – blocks cannot be broken freely, good for custom maps
• /gamemode spectator – fly through blocks and watch the world
• /time set day – skip to morning
• /time set night – skip to night
• /gamerule doDaylightCycle false – freeze the time of day
• /weather clear – stop rain
• /weather thunder – start a thunderstorm
• /tp @s 100 70 200 – teleport yourself to X 100, Y 70, Z 200
• /tp @s PlayerName – teleport to another player
• /locate structure village – find the nearest village
• /setworldspawn – set the world spawn where you stand
• /spawnpoint – set your personal respawn point
• /give @s diamond 64 – get 64 diamonds
• /give @s torch 64 – get 64 torches
• /effect @s night_vision 999 1 – see clearly in the dark
• /enchant @s sharpness 5 – add Sharpness V to the item in your hand
• /xp 10L @s – gain 10 experience levels
• /clear @s – empty your inventory
• /gamerule keepInventory true – keep your items when you die
• /difficulty peaceful – remove hostile mobs
• /kill @e[type=zombie] – remove all zombies
Selectors tell a command who it affects: @s is yourself, @p is the nearest player, @a is all players, @r is a random player and @e is every entity, including mobs and dropped items. Be careful with @e, because /kill @e removes everything, including your pets.
A seed is a code that controls how a world is generated. The same seed on the same game version always creates the same world, so you can share a great world with friends or start right next to a village.
Tap Play, then Create New, then Create New World.
Find the Seed field in the world settings.
Type or paste the seed number.
Tap Create.
Seeds work best on the version they were found on, because major updates can change world generation.
• Village spawn seeds: start beside a village with food, beds and villagers to trade with.
• Survival island seeds: a tiny island with limited resources for a real challenge.
• Cherry grove seeds: pink biomes that are perfect for builders.
• Mountain seeds: huge peaks for dramatic builds and views.
• Ancient city seeds: deep dark cities with rare loot for experienced players.
These recipes cover everything you need in your first hour. Grid positions refer to the 3x3 crafting table grid.
Wooden planks: 1 log anywhere gives 4 planks.
Crafting table: 4 planks in a 2x2 square.
Sticks: 2 planks stacked vertically give 4 sticks.
Torch: 1 coal or charcoal above 1 stick gives 4 torches.
• Wooden pickaxe: 3 planks across the top row, 2 sticks down the middle column.
• Stone sword: 2 cobblestone stacked in the middle column, 1 stick below.
• Stone axe: 3 cobblestone in an L shape at the top left, 2 sticks down the middle column.
• Shield: 6 planks in a Y shape with 1 iron ingot in the top middle slot.
• Furnace: 8 cobblestone around the edge, center empty.
• Chest: 8 planks around the edge, center empty.
• Bed: 3 wool of one color in the middle row, 3 planks in the bottom row.
• Bread: 3 wheat in one row.
Tip: open the recipe book in your inventory to see every recipe you have unlocked and craft it with one tap.
Punch a tree to collect logs, turn them into planks and build a crafting table. Make a wooden pickaxe, mine some cobblestone and upgrade to stone tools as quickly as possible.
A Minecraft day lasts about 20 real minutes, and night begins roughly halfway through. Dig into a hill or build a small box, add a door and place torches inside and around it so hostile mobs cannot spawn nearby.
Hunt chickens, cows or pigs and cook the meat in a furnace, since cooked food restores far more hunger. Collect 3 wool from sheep to craft a bed. Sleeping skips the night and sets your respawn point.
• Never dig straight down — you could fall into lava or a deep cave.
• Carry a water bucket for emergencies.
• Light every tunnel with torches.
• Look for diamonds deep underground, near the bottom of the world.
Wandering too far without marking the way home, fighting creepers at close range, and exploring with valuable items instead of storing them in a chest first.
No. You must turn on Activate Cheats in your world settings before any command will work.
Yes. Once cheats are turned on in a world, achievements are disabled for that world permanently.
Most are similar, but some syntax differs. The commands in this guide are written for Bedrock Edition, which includes Minecraft PE.
Seeds usually work across versions, but major updates can change terrain and structures, so always check which version a seed was made for.
