Delve into the ancient mines, unearthing vast treasures and forgotten secrets.
This game was sort of inspired by every mining game I've ever played. Your goal is to dig as deep as you can in a procedurally generated level with caves, structures, and hidden treasures.

Features
You have a cursor that automatically hovers over the nearest tile based on what direction keys you press (up, down, left, or right).
Every game starts at the surface, where you can buy upgrades for your equipment using your earnings from the treasures you've mined. You can end your expedition from the pause menu and return to the surface at any time.
Your pickaxe has limited durability, and the game ends when it breaks. It can be upgraded to increase it's durability.
Your lantern has limited fuel, and goes out after a while, ending the game. It can be upgraded to last longer.
Your backpack can only hold so much before your movement becomes hindered from carrying too much. It can be upgraded to hold more stuff.
The level is randomly generated as you descend, with 3 main layers you can mine increasingly valuable ores in (recorded in the pause menu), though the stone also becomes tougher and requires more of your pickaxe's durability to mine.
There are structures that might force you to dig around them, or that might have hidden treasure chests inside them.
The most valuable treasure can be found in a layer deep below the other 3.

Subterranean is a game about mining. Your goal is to simply dig as deep as you can and find valuable ores. You have limited durability on your pickaxe, fuel in your lantern, and space in your backpack, which you can upgrade by spending your earnings. The game is procedurally generated as you descend, with a different level every time you restart...
