Critters

We adopted our lucky charm on St Patrick's Day 2023 from Hilton Head Humane Society. Dita is a staffy mutt, found on the side of the road as a puppy. Boy is she a lot of dogs!

Brian spotted Fu donning an 'Adopt Me' vest at the beach on Hilton Head and it was love as first sight. We later learned he had lost one of his front legs in a car accident, but that certainly didn't stop him from hopping after squirrels!

After Grandpa Bob passed away, we took in his retired police dog, Athena. She was a loyal companion to our whole family, and thoroughly enjoyed her retirement home by the sea.

"We are not getting a dog!" is what Brian said the whole drive to the animal shelter, where the mission was only to donate Chani's dog food after she passed. Instead, Brian found Ginger cooped up in a cage too small for her. Donna and Sage found them in the adoption room not long after.

We adopted Chani in Columbia, SC in the 90s and she became a perfect big sister to Sage with her sassy personality!
