It is all beautiful. Who would not cherish the sun shading the blue sky with different shades of yellow and orange in the early morning, and repeating the process in the evening? The huge ball arising as if someone switched on the lights, and setting as if someone turned the lights off. The moon presenting itself to balance the darkness, and the stars helping it. All of the creation that seemed to have lost its color because of the dark night now gets back its original color as the light hits the earth. The green trees, pink flowers, brown soil, blue sky, and transparent waters. Light has the power to restore the original color to a fading creation. If we could edit some of the features of the present Earth, what could it be? Would we decrease the daytime so that we could work less and rest more? Or would we increase the daytime to work more and achieve goals quickly?
We only edit things that are not completely proper. Is the present Earth not completely alright? Aren't we satisfied with the features the Earth can provide us? It would have been good if we could work less and get paid more, if we could eat more and stay in shape, if the property prices decreased to what we could afford, if we could study less and play more, if we could find jobs easily, if we had fewer misunderstandings with people around us, and if our mistakes went unnoticed. Anything else? Will life be better if these things are edited? Come along, let's see what all must be updated to make this earth the best place to live.
We have all heard of Adam's apple. The bump on the front of our necks (mostly males) is famously called "Adam's apple." It's been said that Adam and his wife Eve ate a fruit that was not to be eaten. Was the fruit poisonous? More than the word 'poison', the word 'power' would suit the fruit. The fruit had the power to edit and update. One of the updates that the fruit was believed to bring was a change in people's throats. What other updates did the fruit bring?
To know this, let's start from the beginning.
Who were Adam and Eve? It would not be wrong to say that they were one of the new experiments of the Creator. Just like how humans are interested in making robots nowadays who would exactly resemble them, some thousands of years ago, the Maker of the universe also had a similar vision. He wanted to create beings who would resemble Him. Talk like Him, think like Him, laugh like Him, work like Him, emote like Him, etc. He ended up making 2 beings and named them Adam and Eve. That's how the first couple came into the picture. He also made a space for them named 'Earth'. This is the story of Adam and Eve exploring the space provided to them by the Maker. That's all fine, but what's about the fruit that they have eaten? What is the relationship between them eating the fruit and our throat being edited?
To get answers to these questions, we must take a ride on the Earth along with them. A ride has to start somewhere. Their ride began at a place called 'Eden'. What would we do when we visit a place for the first time? Do we look for Indian or good food, the best tourist attraction, or a famous celebrity in town? That's what we would have loved to do. But no matter how beautiful and interesting the location is, the first thing we do is find a place to settle down and rest. But why? Because the shell we have put up into, called 'body', is so weak to fulfill all our desires. The concept of a quick nap has been introduced to help us reboot before our next destination. How if we hardly got tired? Then we would have had more time to explore. But when that couldn't be the case with us, we must find a place to rest and get refreshed.
How good if we could own a house anywhere we traveled or can stay at any house for free? It's only possible if either our relatives or friends live in that particular country. They may allow us to stay freely at their house for a few days. Some special people have been fortunate enough to own homes at various locations of the world, but for the majority of the people on Earth, it's tough even to buy more than one house. Earth has not been so merciful to all of us. Do we have any other option? One way is to book a room in a hotel, which is available all over the world. But even that's not for free. Even though we pay a price, are we really safe? Not even in our own houses or hotels. But how? If we were really safe, we would have had no need of doors with huge locks. We definitely feel secure at our home, but don't we have to lock ourselves even at our own house? While locking others behind closed doors is considered a crime, we happily lock ourselves behind the four walls. We have multiple doors in our house, and each door is decked up with many locks. If one lock cannot keep us safe, the next lock definitely will.
Inside this space, we only allow trustworthy and familiar people. Everyone on earth follows this technique of locking themselves, not out of compulsion but out of need. Not everyone is a thief, but when someone's mind will change and have a desire for things that others' own, it can hardly be guessed. We wouldn't have to lock ourselves up all the time if we all had so much self-control that we never desired others' things and had the mindset to not take things that belonged to others. But when that is not the case on Earth today, locking ourselves in is the only way to be secure.
Now, did the first couple on earth find a place to lock themselves in and be secure? Was there a house in Eden? Whether they find a home or not, hardly will they get hotel rooms there, as they are the first and only people on the planet at that time. Does that mean they will have to build a house? Well, we will only know that when we get a proper view of that place. So let's enter in. That cannot be a home!!! A place to stay does not look like that. A roof top is a must, either made up of clay, plants, or cement. But this place did not have a roof at all. If you look up, the sky will be visible. How will they stay here? The place went on and on, and the eyes couldn't spot its end. The entry and exit doors seemed to be absent here. The rooftop and the door are the main aspects of staying secure. How will they be secure here?
Was there anything right here? How can an incomplete house be called fabulous? Will they have a fabulous life in such a place? Why would they need a rooftop when the blue sky was already the roof? With tiny clouds moving here and there, the design of their roof was updated every moment. From all shades of blue to twinkles in the night sky, the sky's view kept changing. It seemed like virtual reality was being played over their heads. Our beautifully designed roofs, called 'false ceilings', had no match with the pleasantness their roofs could bring. While our artificial designs have the ability to impress the eyes, their roof had the skill to impress the hearts as well.
We have also used the sky as our roof many times. Sleeping on the 'verandah' or 'terrace' is proof. Being freed from the concrete roof was always a pleasure, and the times spent under the twinkling sky remain etched in our memories. But with fear of theft and varying climates' moods, it's almost impossible to make the sky our permanent roof. But we would have definitely wished to...
It would have been so good if the sun had sensors that helped it find the temperature favorable to humans and adjusted itself as to what would be comfortable for humans on earth instead of hurting us with the temperature variations. Being able to command the sun and moon to change their temperature according to our comfort, just as we can with air conditioners and heaters, is also not a bad idea. How many times have we desired for rains to go away and come again another day? It would not be bad to be able to control the water-filled clouds to not rain on a certain day or occasion or to direct them with the place and time to rain on the ground.
How good if there were no thieves on the earth?
Did the first couple had such options, to easily enjoy the sky as their only roof-top?
To be continued...
