"We recommend eye examinations every 2 years. As well as checking your vision we look at the back of your eye and check for diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma. Many eye conditions are treatable once they're caught on time so ot's extremely important to have regular eye examinations."

Yes we do. All you have to do is call into us with your medical card. We'll gladly complete the application form for you and post it away. Once you receive the authorisation form you're entitled to get your eye test and glasses from a particular range completely free too. If you would like to upgrade, you will get an allowance of €42 off a pair of single vision specs or €83 off a pair of bifocal / varifocals.

"Yes we do. Once the child is 5 or 6 years old we'll gladly carry out an eye test. However all children under the age of 12 (primary school) are entitled to a test free through the HSE. After the test you will be given the prescription on a docket which will entitle you to €42 off the glasses. Just bring that into us and we'll do the rest."

Yes. A lot of repairs can be done in the shop, so if your glasses need a screw replaced, or a new nose pad or even if they need a little straightening up, we can do that here for you. More complex repairs will have to go to our lab and generally take a day or two.
