This is your chance to generate some Community Spirit within your area just like 1,000 of streets will be doing throughout Ireland. It's an opportunity to introduce yourselves to new neighbours and get back in touch with those you've know for ages.

It only takes a few residents to take the reins and organise a date that suits the majority, figure out who has a BBQ available and SuperValu in the Johnstown Shopping Centre are always willing to offer a selection of Party Packs at a great price.

You'll also need something to entertain the kids, some way to close off your road to traffic, add some party games, perhaps a marque for when it rains, and everyone brings some plates, salads, sweets, seats and tables.

Finally add some music & drinks and you have all the ingredients for an entertaining event.
