You will have caught sight of Aoife's Artwork as the winning entry chosen by Aoife Donne Make Up Artist's in our Halloween Photo Competition.
My winning entry in the Halloween Photo Competition
It's a little easier working on a canvas especially a willing friend.
We discovered that Aoife Brown is an art student at Drogheda Institute of Further Education and she also has her own Facebook Gallery page displaying some of her work.
We caught up with Aoife to find out a little more about her artistic talents:
I was a was a bit of a nightmare through secondary school and bounced around from school to school but I did take art in school.
I like drawing the gothic and fantasy things because there’s room for imagination, room for error and you don’t have to be perfect to get the drawing you want.

"Copic Sugar Skull"
"Skull and Roses"
"X-ray Grim"
I’ve never been sure where I would go in life, but I’ve always wanted to do something in art. I wanted to be a tattoo artist for a long time but it’s extremely difficult to get into that work. You need to know someone to get a job in it. As long as my future involves art I’ll be happy.
I have an obsession with drawing dragons which I’ve always loved. One of the oldest drawings I have is from when I was 6 years old and it’s a crude drawing of a dragon sitting on a castle.
"Baby Dragon"
"Gary"
"Blue Alien"
"Opal"
"Dare to be Different"
"Cartoon in Comics"
"Keep Smiling"
"Portrait of Debbie"
Depending on the size of the drawing it can take up to 6 hours. The A3 and A2 drawings take about 4 to 6 hours, not including breaks and the smaller A4 drawings would take me from 45 minutes to 3 hours depending on the theme.
"Stitch"
"Stitch and Angel"
A cartoon my friend made for me
"Ivysaur"
"Wolf in the Moonlight"
"Baby Hippo"
"Baby Tortoise"
I’ve won a few throughout my life for art. In primary school I won 3 awards for drawing however I couldn’t remember the competition. I also won the Robert Ballagh LMETB competition 2017 coming first place in my category.
I also won the Halloween makeup competition this year.
I would definitely be willing to freelance. I always feel honoured when people choose my art work to display or use.

Finding unique gift ideas for Christmas is a challenge so why not create your own and personalize it.
